  • Morning all :) Beautiful day here today (just as well, because we also have two lots of wet bedding to get washed and dried!) Coffee/playgroup at school this morning, then home to wait for the estate agent to ring as we're hoping the people who viewed yesterday will make an offer on our house. Apart from that, I need to do some 'mortgage maths' to absolutely double check that we can afford the house we want.
Afternoon is blocked out for tidying the garden - the chickens had an absolute field day yesterday, dust-bathing in every available space, so there is more earth on the path than there is in the veggie patch!

Daisy cat -hope you are continuing to improve today

Essex-girl - good luck with your interview today!

Well, OH work me at ten to seven to check accounts, and surprise surprise not been paid! que one very angry message left on customers phone, they've gone back on what we were told last week and promise the money tomorrow. So. New customers are now required to pay up front for any jobs. We have noooo money! Shame my quidco transfer is not instant!

So OH is in a HUGE mood and just ran out of diesel at the yard he's working at. Not sure how we'll work around that, but argh, makes me want to go back to bed. He's just so miserable to be around at the moment.

On to me! Rice salad for lunch today with a muller yoghurt. Was going to do carbonara for dinner but may need the bacon to make OH a bacon pasta salad for lunch tomorrow. Got some prawns so might try and do something with them instead, or sausages or if all else fails, burgers.

Got very little washing powder so am holding off doing any washing (see, if i start to prep for winter now, i won't have worries like this as my store cupboard will have spare everything!)

arghhhh, i need my payday to hurry up!

    Morning All

Back from the night shift from hell, my bed is so welcoming. Will probably sleep until mid-day. Then not sure what I'll feel like doing.

Dinner tonight is chicken soup and will make some bread rolls to go with it or I might do some garlic dough balls.

    ESSEX-GIRL good luck
BITSEY HUGS to you and yours

Big hugs to anyone who needs one. Have a good day all.

    Morning All!
Been up since 4.30, couldn't sleep!
Lovely sunny day here in Hastings. On my way to Brighton today, taking my cousin to "The Bombay Aloo" a vegetarian indian restaurant that I love.:)

Washing machine gave up the ghost yesterday. Ordered a new one from Tesco Direct. Went through Quidco, got £4.11 back, plus a £10 off voucher, and free delivery and 356 points!:T Only cost £169 after all. My old one was second hand and I'd had it three years so it doesn't owe me anything!

DD was very proud yesterday. Took DGD to the Harvester restaurant and was complemented on her parenting skills by an elderly couple. They said she was so well behaved! Considering DGD is only 13 months old, that's pretty good!:T

Wedding reception has changed again. Now some posh hotel, marquee and live band:eek: Thank goodness I don't have to pay for it!

Anyway, have a good day all.

    Morning all!

((((hugs)))) to those who need them.

Good luck to those with exams/ driving tests/ interviews etc.

The potatoes I planted (late) in the garden have just started to show themselves. I was starting to give up hope. Really hoping the lottie ones are going to peek up too. Everyone else has been earthing up for weeks on the lottie.

Have parents evening later at dd1 school, so dinner tonight is something easy, but can't remember what.

Have a good day whatever you all do.

Morning all, bit of a lurker here, am trying to be more OS as DH and I keep arguing re shopping bill, I admit I overspend but he doesn't appreciate the ongoing rising food costs!

Overslept this morning we woke up at 7:50 eek! DD leaves for school at 8:15 and it was rubbish day, somehow managed to get packed lunch and DD out of door by 8:20 and all the rubbish, food waste, pink recycling sacks out by 8:25 and somehow inbetween managed to feed DS (21 months) and make up two big bags of med veg (past its best lurking in bottom of fridge) for freezer, normally i would have just thrown them out

Today is all about washing, ironing, I am going to slow cooker a whole chicken today not sure what to do with it once its cooked though LOL! and finally i have loads of cous cous that i have no idea what to do with so the plan is to find good recipes and try a selection ...

good luck and happy thoughts to you all, donna

Donna Always happy to welcome lurkers on here. Stick around and enjoy our lovely wee community.

You know, I was lying awake this morning thinking to myself.......is the OS forum an addiction? I only ask as I have to get my 'fix' every day, and panic a bit if I don't have internet connection. Or is it a bit like a 'best friend' that we chat to every day on the phone, and find it a constant comforting presence? :p

Just been out in the garden, and there are at least 3 huge ripe strawberries!!! Going to bring the kids into the garden and we can all have one each :D
