Scottishbloke, since we have been on this long and tedious journey from the start, I feel I ought to put you on my xmas card list! lolIf we all lived to the rule 'an eye for an eye', the world would be blind...0

When there is a Boots glitch, they honoured it. But Avon, a multi-million dollar American company can't bear to lose a few bottles of bubbly!!!!!!
I certainly will be bad mouthing Avon from now on. I thought they were desperate to break new markets and appeal to all ages, etc. according to The Money Programme recently.
Haven't they heard of customer satisfaction????? Good PR costs!!!!!0 -

They have not mentioned the 2 for £-24 just what the rest of you have said.
I have told them not to lie to me and sent my receipt. All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
Tibbie's_mum wrote:Just received order minus bubble bath! As they have delivered part of this order does that mean they've entered into a contract with me that they have defaulted on??? If so, can I take them to the small claims court??? In fact, could we all take them to court???
Yes and you'd win, but
(a) they'd settle beforehand to avoid adverse publicity and
(b) would you want to go through the hassle for a couple of bottles of bubble bath?
This entire thread and it's outcome says more about Avon's complete contempt for its customers than it does for their blatant disregard for UK trading laws.
Picking and choosing which parts of a legally binding contract they want to honour?.............sheesh, breathtaking arrogance! You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
mine has now been cancled0

Just got this e-mail from Avon
Dear Avon Customer
I am writing to advise you of a technical error that occurred on our
website and affected your recent order.
When you selected your choice of products, the offer for 500ml Avon Bubble
Bath was clearly stated as £4.00 or ' Buy two choose 2nd free'.
However, when your selection was added to your shopping basket, both items
appeared as free. This genuine error means that we are unable to process
your order and I would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may
cause. The error has now been rectified. If you wish to take advantage of
the 'buy one get the same one free' bubble bath offer, please go onto the
website and re-submit your order.
Thank you for your cooperation and may I apologise for the inconvenience.
Yours sincerely
Angela Campbell
Avon Customer Service Team

Has anyone else actually received this? Perhaps if they could post with whether they ordered other goods as well (I did) and if they are a new or existing customer (I registered a new login) we could see if there is any reason behind who did and who didn't get their orders honoured?
