    Evening All

Hugs to all those feeling a little down at the moment, hope things improve. Thinking of Daisy, Bitsy along with you and your parents. FB - I wouldn't share after you have lived on your own for a while unless it was necessary financially. Just think of all the times you don't want to do any housework and can sit in your pjs all day if you want, may not be so easy if it is a shared house. Also you may want to have 'visitors' (ie toyboys!) round and again that could be awkward. NPM, glad you have made a decision and you can now look forward.

Yesterday was a bit odd - we had terrible storms here which resulted in many up ended trees and sadly a death locally. We had no power when I got in so had to hot foot it to a local takeaway to get us some cups of tea! We had been given tickets to see the Sound of Music so we got a quick wash and left for Glasgow. It was hard going but we made it and thoroughly enjoyed the show although sadly Jason Donovan wasn't there. I have a tree in my fish pond and a couple of slates missing. The hen run has blown down too (one of the posts has snapped) but feel quite lucky that there isn't any more damage. Still wet and windy but thankfully all safe.

Usual OSness here, DD making spag bol for tea which is a rare treat! Take care all. XX

    Afternoon all
FB - I'd would find out where she'd like to live and see from there

Thanks for all the input. It's something I'm going to mull over. I had brief chat with her last night and said it's something I would consider but not a definate. Turn out she would be happy to move to another flat or townhouse on this complex so I'd still have a sea view :) . We are both homebodies so no need to worry about wild parties or music, more like we'd fight over who does the cooking! :rotfl:. I just keep thinking that even if I did it for a year, I'd save enough to cover my 2 big hols and more!

Julie - good luck with SW
NPM - glad you've handed notice in
    Anniestar - ((((hugs))))

Well I had a fantastically exhausting day at work :D. My colleague who was sick yesterday was back in today so I told him how well his work kids worked for me so we decided to take them down our log cabin in the country park today. We spent the morning doing orienteering, and the afternoon playing football and rugby! I'm knackered! We showed the work kids some of the history in the park, it used to be an ammunition depot in WW2, and there are lots of tunnels and secret rooms dotted throughout the park. Some of the tunnels were used to unload ammunitions off trains and there are secret tunnels in it. We tell the work kids to explore them, then go in the other end and scare them! :rotfl:

OS wise - not much, need to make packed lunch for tomorrow and something quick for dinner.

    Have a good evening all

bit of a random question but those of you with lo's the same as ds, will they eat lumps of meat?? dss refuses to chew meat at the moment and only eats if he can swallow it. i know is laziness and he used to eat it!

DD used to but now she's turned into a fussy beggar about food <rollseyes> she does however love to eat sausages.

Annie - aw honey don't feel embarrassed. Honestly although I've never been on meds at times I've felt close to it and some of my issues that in the wee small hours have brought me close to tears would make you laugh :o If you want to share, then we're all hear to support you xx Sorry to hear you've got cat troubles too, hope they are soon on the mend x

Catwatch: honestly I am not sure my emotions can stand this :o Kitty has got a 48 hour repreive. Mum just spoke to Vet and she's improved slightly. Still not enough to warrant an op on her jaw but she's tried to wash herself, lap up some of the mush they call food and possibly a wee bit of sight returning. She can't however stand still but they're not sure if that's because one leg is bandaged for cannula (sp?) so she doesn't want to stand. Ho hum the wait continues. thanks as ever for all the hugs. You guys totally rock. I mean it xx

Bitsy I will continue with the healing vibes, and have invoked Bastet to watch over Daisy. I hope this is OK with you.:o

Anniestar I know there's not a lot anyone can say that'll help, but have a (((HUG))) to be going on with.:o

Btw, I've been on anti-d's of one sort or another for 39 years!! Gods alone know what'll happen if my current ones stop working, as I'm now at the end of the list of stuff they can try for me.

this is soooooo OK with me :D I have another MSE who even offered to come round and do some healing although I don't think the Vets would really like that ;) However if we're lucky enough for her to make it home then I shall definately be having her round for a healing session.

All your vibes etc are most welcome and considering like attracts like in the Universe the more positive the better ;)

    Hi follks

BITSY - good news, let's hope it keeps on
    ANNIESTAR - hugs hun

NPM - agree with what you and everyone else says about the NHS. I'm leaving when I'm 55 as I have seen so many of my colleagues get ill in the job. Only 5 years to go and I am putting alternative plans in place.

My lovely neighbour has mended my gate again today, bless him. Off to work in a mo. Spinach and chick pea curry for tea. Also made some of that nice sunflower bread from Lidl and made stock from the chicken carcass.

Best news is my hall is woodchip free! :j

    Have a good night

  • Bitsy I know it is going to be an emotional few days but it is better to give the cat a bit longer and see how she improves rather than rush a decision to end it all:o. Great news that she is improving even that small amount:T....maybe it is the cannula that is making her feel like she cant stand...animals are funny like that. She will probably have been in shock too since the accident and may just be coming round now.

Jools.....if you can survive financially go for it and leave nursing I say;) I have made sure we have DHs tax up to date before leaving and I make the last payment on a CC this week.....we still have 1 CC each but will overpay that to get rid of it asap. No doubt we will have to be careful at times but to be perfectly honest I would rather eat beans on toast every night for the rest of my life than ever set foot in that hell hole again:o

Annistar carry on coming on the thread and letting us know how you are doing each day...you are not on your own lovey xx
