NPM Must be a good feeling to have done it now. Does that mean that you are off now until your notice is up? Or do you have to go in at all?

Morning All
NPM it is a sad fact that our once great NHS has been brought to its knees by too many managers with no medical experience whatsoever:mad:
Well I have done 3 loads of washing and have some bread proving.
I am trying to get into a routine of getting all the housework done before I go on the computer.
Plan for this afternoon is to clean out the kitchen cupboards and take stock of what I have so that I can save some more money next month.
DS had his A level physics exam this morning and has just gone for his college interview.
My neighbour has got herself in a right state because she is off to Spain and she is scared her flight might be cancelled tomorrow.
Looking forward to watching the coal house at war tonight it is on at 5pm and repeated at 10pm on the Yesterday channel
Dinner tonight is honey and mustard chicken with new potatoes and salad

i have wiped the kitchen sides down, put a second load of washing on, the first load in the TD even though it is sunny out(cba to peg it out
) and the dishwasher is on. will do the floor after lunch is sorted. hopefully ds will go for a nap(wishful thinking) and i can crack on with the livingroom.

Morning All (just)
BB fingers crossed for Daisy
NPM glad you have handed in your notice
FB going to start SW today. If it was me I would stay in your lovely flat by the sea but then living with a houseful I really appreciate my time alone:D
Off to get my hair done shortly. Its dark blonde (like a dirty colour :rotfl:naturally) and I have had it highlighted too much, its starting to look brassy iykwim so am having some darker tones put through and a trim.
DH is taking DS3 to snooker tonight as he also has his English Lit exam this morning, hopefully it will take his mind off exams for a couple of hrs. Good luck to all the exam takers.
So only me and DS2 for tea, so will be a quick chilli out of the freezer.
My son lands at Stansted tomorrow so fingers crossed he is not affected by the ash cloud, will keep an eye on the website.
Will make a carrot cake and some twinks this afternoon and finish my Peter Robinson book.

Morning everyone,
Firstly love and warm thoughts to all exam candidates and their families at this stressful time. The exam papers are here, a hulking big tower of them!
Bitsy I am so sorry about Daisy. I know how your parents must be feeling and send them all the love in the world. Sometimes the most amazing things do happen. I have seen cats (literally) at deaths door and then they do rally. I have everything crossed for you all.
NPM my mum, six of my aunts and five cousins were/are nurses and I have seen at first hand how the health service chews you up and spits you out. My cousin who wanted to be a nurse for as long as anyone can remember(and now has a very high pressurised job in charge of a unit) has had enough and was looking at retail jobs as the pressure is insane. Incidently, its a small world-you said you used to live in Worsley I lived in Eccles. I think I remember you mentioning you did you training in Hope? Did you ever go to Ladywell?
Tired Mum what a lovely poem. Made me cry. Love to your gang.
We are having cat problems at the mo as well. Fergal(the darker ginger cat on my FB profile page) is poorly. We have also had problems with Rupert that are thankfully now sorted. I had a text from a very nice OS'er at the height of the drama with Rupe asking how I was. I think i sent the most stressed, miserable and deranged text ever-:o Sorry T.L.
I wanted to say loads but nothing stays in my mind for long at the moment. I have to write everything down that has to be done otherwise there is no chance of me remembering:o:o
I have been awake since 3am again. Not sleeping very well. Am a mess. Have spoken to my G.P. Everything seems pointless and I really need to get a grip. So far this morning have been in tears on numerous occasions over nothing at all(far too embarassing to write down) and even when walking upstairs.
Have no idea what's for tea-poor Mark has even been doing that:o but tonight I am doing it.
Anyway, loads of love to all. I am sorry I can't mention everyone by name but hugs and congratulations as needed.
Lowsey congratulations to you and your DH.
Flutterby I couldn't bear to give up such a wonderful view and I love'd liiving alone(although maybe I am anti social:p)
Sorry this is so miserable.
Thank you for everything.
Take care.

anniestar - big {{{hugs}}} was your gp supportive? lack of sleep really doesnt help when you are feeling low. rather oddly i have just come off sleeping tablets and i'm sleeping better than ever :undecided do you have people to talk? and seriously dont be embarrassed about writing it here."I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0

Anniestar...sorry to hear you are still under the cloud:(. Did you get any support from GP? Have they suggested meds? I tried to come off mine recently and couldnt cope with anything. It is ok telling yourself to geta grip but it is hard to do when you are under the spell:o I hope you can find a way to the other side of this feeling.
It is a small world if you lived in Eccles. I used to go out in Monton Am not from Manchester originally but moved there to do training.
I trained at North Manchester General in Crumpsall but have done some shifts at Hope in the past. After qualifying I went to Monsall and specialised in infectious diseases and tropical medicine, then branched out into HIV/AIDS and was a specialist nurse in that when monsall unit moved over to NMGH. Then I did the same job but in palliative care at St Anns Hospice. Not been to Manchester for years now but I think all the little hospitals have gone now like Ancoats etc. It is a shame because they were great to work in, only a handful of wards in a specialist area and everyone knew each other and were friendly.
Come on and put your thoughts down on paper if it helps.....no one will judge you and if it helps you the thats the main thing:D
Keep your chin up lovey xxx0
