HMV order

think the best option if they say dispatched and you say not received may be chargeback via your CC company, the onus is on HMV to prove you actually received the item and they can adequately track it....if you haven't signed for it....you presumably didn't get it....don't waste any more time on them. I think some of the other posters are correct in their assumption that HMV is pants and telling a few porkies about availability and dispatch times....if someone from HMV who reads these forums would like to respond....feel free.....stunned silence methinks.....I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -

Hopefully a breakthrough- I called the Customer 'Help'line, and pressed option 1 for the stores rather than 2 for online services. They were sympathetic and put me through to a guy who put me through to someone else. He told me I had 3 choices. Wait for the order to come to me- probably will be after Christmas, cancel and buy elsewhere, or cancel and then reorder with them but I will have to pay for express delivery.
I asked to speak to the supervisor and he asked why and he will try to sort it out. I explained that there was NO way I was going to pay for express as they should have replied to my email last week, and then I could have reordered with sufficient time to avoid paying express. He just said 'ok, well, I will cancel the order and reorder it, and waive the fee'. Plus the cost of one of the items has reduced so I have a further discount on that.
Sounds too good to be true- special delivery is stated on their website as £5 per item and I have 3 items outstanding. Also, there is no mention of 'express delivery', though I do have a confirmation email of one of the items that has been dispatched and it says it is being sent via special delivery.
Anyway, so hope this helps someone- I really thought no one was going to help but I persevered with the store. I didnt want to make a complaint to the store as I fully understand that they do not deal with the same side of the business, but all I wanted was for someone to help me get my order!!0 -
I ordered a ps2 game last week and in my account it says open order awaiting stock from suppliers but also when you enter the same game today it says shipping immediate I rang them today to check and they said they doubt I would get it for christmas so I cancelled the order. Wont be shopping with them in a hurry.0

Placed an order for a DS lite on the 8th Dec.
No stock despite the website mentioning 24hrs when I ordered and still stated this for a week or so later.
Called them a few times, last update today I will get it in January now:mad:
Have another outstanding order, one item was 3 days, 11 have passed now and still no dispatach.0 -
HMV are utter !!!!!!
Decided to look back on the site today and the game I ordered say's despatched within 24 hours and "will ship before christmas" but yet my order from 5/12/06 still says "to be ordered from supplier".
I have emailed them on about 4 occassions and no response and i cannot be bothered phoning them as from experience I have been waiting for 15+ minutes to get through only to be told nothing usefull
HMV have defo lost me as an online customer once / if my outstanding orders get completed0 -
I have just seen my phone bill and the call to HMV cost me 70p - cheeky !!!!!!s!!
I have now taken to emailing them every day on the hope that at least one email gets through and gets a response.
I don't stand a chance of getting the dvd before Christmas and it has now become a matter of principle that I get this dvd.MFIT No. 810 -

Think I have emailed them about 4 times and still no responce which is utter !!!!!!
As I was leaving for work this morning their was something on the local radio about HMV but did not have time to listen, wonder if it's anything to do with the rubbish service and deliveries people won't be receiving before christmas0 -
An update to my update- after arranging the next day delivery, I received an email stating that Item One would be with me on Wednesday- as yet, it has not been received. Yesterday I received an email saying that Item Two has been sent, and then another email saying Item Three has been sent. This morning I received Item Two, but no Item Three.
So much for next day delivery!
And to add further insult to injury, Item Three is Disc 2 of a series. I have already received Disc 1. However on the confirmation email, it says that Disc 1 is to be sent- huh??? So I called up the direct line that I was given, and was told that I can return the duplicate disc, and that they will send out Disc 2 free of charge.
Once I get the discs, I am DONE with HMV online.0
