I would try another MOT station, they are very opinionated, I took an Omega to one of these do everything places, failed quote was £475 Took it to Halfords, new anti roll bar bush £45 and it passed, showed him the other failure sheet he put it on the ramp and could not find the two split CV boots or the shock absorbers leaking oil what he did find was recent duck oil sprayed on the tops of GAS shock absorbers, corroded brake lines were just road dirt which he had wiped off to inspect them, still like new and the headlight that required replacing for poor aim just needed the thumb screw adjusting which he did for free when he did the roll bar bill £85 .
Some really try it on, its a good living

The suspension problems are a lot of nothing money-wise and it's entirely possible that another garage wouldn't note them. I suppose the question is, is the car worth welding up, because I can't see another testing station passing rot. Only you know the car and can say for sure -- I've fixed up cars worse than that before when the mechanicals have been good.

Just tell whoever buys it what is wrong - people trying to hide stuff is what could've lead to my death yesterday.

Advertise it with details of the failure and make the failure sheet available to any prospective buyer.

The suspension bits are easy and the Welding bit depending on if your a DIY welder....

Sell it as spares or repair. The car is knackered.

I took my car for an MOT 4 weeks early to a council run MOT. It failed on 10 things, mainly rust which was 6 of the things and then minor things. If i want to sell the vehicle do i have to declare all the information i know tat it has failed on the MOT or can i just sell it stating that it has a month left on the MOT?

Obviously the problems will be highlighted with the rust etc

As you know these faults exist and that the car will fail an MOT when it comes up for renewal, are you seriously suggesting you should deliberately deceive a potential buyer, by withholding vital information?

No not at all. I think my question really was is the mot still valid and cannot sell it knowijg it has failed the MOT. All the details will be put on the sale . If the vehicle has no mot I will just scrap it if it has I will sell it on eBay as spares/ repairs

So I am right in thinking that the mot is still valid and if the vehicle is sold the buyer can drive it away

I wiuld stick it on eBay with an honest description and declare all the issues, which aren't really that bad, maybe list it as spares or repairs. Or just put it up as a shirt MOT project. Some people like a project but don't want to pay for transport so will pay a but extra since your car still has an MOT.

Some may just put it in the local paper amd keep quiet but few will fall for.that as a one month MOT rings alarm bells in most peoples minds.

That is not what you said in your OP:

This suggests that you have come to ask whether you can deceive a potential buyer; knowingly selling them an unroadworthy car.

This forum is littered with members, who have been caught out by sellers, who have done exactly the same thing as you are intending to do.
