Quite right Dragon :rotfl: I might well just leave the £5 in there for the next 30 years (since it wasn't my £5 in the first place) - at least I'll know quickly if I win now! :p

Grumpity grumpity grump grump grump day here today! Been to B&Q TWICE - second time round actually managed to buy the fence and posts I went for the first time - but it appears my posts are the wrong ones and are therefore too short. Sigh.

Fortunately my major strop and tantrum was converted into tidying all Mr Daffs' clothes away off the bedroom floor. Yes, I stomped about it, but it looks a whole lot better now :rotfl:
  • Morning! Hope you're less grumpty today - well done for turning it into productive stomping though :D

I am indeed a whole lot less grumpy now thanks Squizz! :T :T :p Did half an hour of scales - which bizarrely helped... (although they weren't very good :rotfl:) Also did a few hours of sewing, pretty mindless, but felt good, and sewed and tooted myself back to cheeriness :D

Working at home today, then a filling at 3.30 - bleurgh.

Done internet banking for the morning, and totted up all what I've spent over the week (what I can remember of it anyway :o not been keeping on top of spending diary! :o) Anyway, by my calculations (and also by what's left in my purse) I've actually got £7.42 of this week's budget left!  No idea how that happened! (well, I do actually - spent all day Friday working at a friend's house so didn't spend anything, all day Saturday at a wedding, and all day Sunday driving to and from B&Q so didn't spend anything then (other than the fence, which comes from the Palace Fund, and so doesn't count in the normal spending diary :p)

    An unexpected success! :T :T :T

Right - work it is then!

Grumpiting is horrible, isn't it! The weather's very grumpity right now too .... still, if you can tootle and sew your way back, thats pretty good - very creative, very healing, actually.

Sorry you've got a dental appt tho! Not nice either :( in fact tho, because the painkillers are so good these days, the worst thing I have is sore muscles from having to hold my mouth open for that long :o Who said "wimp"? :rotfl:

Glad you got the internet banking done - I've just been on about mine on my thread, hsbc updated security and they nearly shut me out forever its so tight!

Hope its all good today, Cheery.

No I don't like keeping my gob open for that long either! :rotfl:

Worst thing for me is a sense of shame because I should have looked after my teeth better :o This is a fractured filling though, so not entirely sure what I could have done about that! (I've also got to ask him about another tooth which has a jaggedy edge, doesn't hurt, but is very annoying, I'm hoping he can just sand it down a bit?!)

Stupid all singing all dancing virtual desktop that revolutionised working life last week isn't working today. Yawn. At least the old way of doing things *is* working (it wasn't last week, hence ending up on the experimental virtual desktop...)

Best crack on, keep putting it off... :o

And it's starting to get a bit windy up here in my attic.... Mind you, the sun's shining, so it doesn't feel too bad :D
  • Ooh hope it goes OK at the dentist (cringes at the thought of "sanding it down"!)

Tis a bit windy isn't it, it's howling round our building here!

:j :j :j lovely lady across the road just brought us some cooking apples from their tree :D :j :j :j How lovely :j :j

Also had letter from hospital saying I'd got to ring for an ENT appointment. Is this the surgery?! Not very clear! Turns out I have to go and have a vocal cord check before the surgery - not that it matters, but it would be nice to have had someone along the way mention it! So I'm at the hospital AGAIN next Thursday, and after that will get a date for surgery. Yawn.

    Is it lunchtime yet?
