Great idea re the MSE talk only. After all that is what this is meant to be about. Might "try" to follow suit.
I am hoping to bramble pick today at some point I have the sugar and the lemons and the windfall apples ready to go, just need the berries. Heading North I think at some point this week so want to take some homemade stuff with me.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Have PMed you ddfw
Jam pan sounds ace! Some jam eaten already of course
(can't promise I'm only going to stick to MSE talk mind you...)
Class was, well, *exercise* :rotfl: :rotfl: There were only 5 of us - 4 of whom evidently go every week - and mrs teacher woman was going for the dance routine style of class rather than just stepping up and down> Which is all very well, and far more fun, but when she shouts 'jazz! retainer! step twirl! sidewinder!' I have absolutely no idea what those things mean :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: consequently lots of just stepping up and down for me while everyone around me twirled and hopped and jumped over and around their steps in a mad dance :rotfl: :rotfl: Great fun - although I was very glad I found the only spot in the room where I couldn't see myself in the giant mirror or I may have left in disgust after 5 minutes... :rotfl: :rotfl:
Spin class booked for tomorrow night, with some wizened tour de france veteran fiend man :eek:
Finished friend's picnic blanket this morning :T :T :T More HM soup to go in the freezer (I'm going for the freezing in ice cubes option for easy defrosting :T :T)
Meant to be laying these darn pavings this afternoon - it's p*ssing down and looks like it will be for forseeable futureMaybe more sewing instead
(or maybe just getting on with it then having a nice hot bath later
)

We're both missing you too! Sunny here too now - very different to last Sunday!
We're out in garden laying pavings2 down, 6 to go... Like some kind of giant heavy jigsaw, we've got two that are 60x90cm, one that's 86x54, four at 60x70 ish, and one at 50xsomething :rotfl: The space isn't square either, and the stones are all thicker at one end than the other, or in the middle, or have jagged edges :rotfl: :rotfl:
Will be coming to you for recommendations of cheery little plants to pop into the inevitable gaps between the pavings0 -
loving the sound of that paving. I once watched an interview with Prince Charles at his Gloucester pad. He was in the garden, very uneven paving stones were interspersed with chamomile and thyme plants. He reckoned that when you walked on it the smell was glorious.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. WEll we got 4 paving stones down, another 5 to go, but we've done all the measuring and figuring out where they need to go now, so shouldn't take as long (she says!) Back to work sadly today though, pah.
Been to hospital for pre-operative assessment this morning (at 8am! Eek!). Have been poked and prodded and questionned, had nose swabs, groin swabs (!), blood, wee, heart rate, blood pressure, weight, height all taken, been given a giant pile of things to read, and picked up the apparently vile-tasting stuff I have to take to slow my blood down before the op. Just waiting for a letter now!
Work first though. Today is broken up by hospital first thing (only just got back), dentist at lunchtime (new filling is falling out), and spin class at 6, followed by gym induction. I'll sleep tongiht!0
