Good grief, you're doing well today!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Relatively KC! :T Also finished a work thing I've been trying to sit down and finish for weeks, and other stuff kept getting in the way
Didn't actually take that long once I sat down and ignored everything else (isn't that always the way?!). Still plenty to do there though
For now though, I'm going to get changed (I'm still covered in soil :rotfl:) and go and face the music at slimming world...:eek:
Mr Daffs is making a nice risotto while I'm out
Think I might actually go to my swimming lesson tonight, only went to one :rotfl: They're drop in though, so I don't have to go! But I could do with the exercise :rotfl: :rotfl: Back in a bit with the truth revealed... :eek: :rotfl:0 -
So, unsurprisingly, I put ON 2lbs :eek:
Still not impresed, even though I know where it came from...
So - I've got one more weigh in before I go on holiday, and 3lbs to lose to get my sparkly half stone sticker. I'm a girl on a mission this week, give me a slap if you see me anywhere near a cake!
Going to run to my swimming lesson tonightThat should get me off to a good start! :T :T :T

Could be worse Daffs, you might not know where it came from. At least you know what you need to do.
Just came back from the forest and i noticed that somebody has painted their breezeblock wall a kind of nut brown colour and it looked quite good.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Ooh, that sounds nice!
Going to try and get paint that's the same colour as the stone that makes up the rest of the wall - it'll still look like breezeblock, but maybe a little less shabby...
So this evening I've learned several lessons:
(1) I was too tired to run - 14 minutes downhill was just TOO much
(2) I'm absolutely bl**dy useless at swimming :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
(3) I'm so useless, I can't even breath *out* under the water :rotfl: I just blow bubbles, then when i lift my head out, I try to breath out *first* then there isn't time to breath in :rotfl: Fortunately the teacher is very patient
(4) clambering back into hot sweaty running kit after a swim and shower in a boiling changing room is NOT good, fun or easy :eek: :eek:
(5) I don't care HOW close it is, and how idle it is to drive, I'm driving next time. Walking 30 minutes uphill after an hour of swimming is also NOT fun :eek:
Still, feel like I've worked hard today! :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Oh good grief, Cheery! You certainly made an *excellent* start at losing that weight! I'd not only be exhausted, I'd be through the floor!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Bleurgh, feeling a little rough and achey this morning :rotfl: although I'm blaming that on the soil-shifting!
Work today - lots to do, but I'm hoping I can follow up yesterday's productivity in that department!
Also a few other things to tackle along the way...
* washing
* put camping stuff away
* ring garage about stupid windscreen washers that won't work (putting this off because I DON'T want to take it, I'm BORED Of talking to the garage, and I REFUSE to pay for it after they didn't fix it at the service, but am too scared to say that)
Think that's all that *needs* doing today (although I still need to sort out mr daffs' birthday present, and book our ferry tickets :eek: We'll be swimming across the Pentland Firth at this rate! :eek:)
Tea first though:coffee:

We'll be swimming across the Pentland Firth at this rate!
That would certainly give you some swimming practice! :eek:
Not surprised you're achy today - that was quite a day!
Hope you have a nice productive dayDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Best get some practice in before then I think Squizz! :rotfl: (or book the ferry tickets at least
)

Ferry tickets would be preferable, I think - to my shame, tho I know the Pentland name, I didn't know which bit it referred to, and now I do (thanks google) - I definitely advise not-swimming2023: the year I get to buy a car0
