    *somebody* tell me why my car has been to the garage TWICE in the last week, I have spent £250 on it, and STILL need 2 new front tyres?! :mad: I would have thought 'please do a service and EVERYTHING it will need to get me to Scotland and back" might entail 2 new front tyres if they're needed? Maybe that's just me?

    (he's always done tyres before, I had no reason to believe he wouldn't. And yes, I had two front tyres replaced about 4 weeks ago, but apparently some brushes were making them wobble and wear out more quickly :eek: although I was under the impression that was the wheelbearing that was fixed last week. But what do I know?!

    Mind you, he did tell me he knew someone who'd give me £1500 for the car (we paid £1000, and it's been a bloody pain in the !!!!) - I nearly bit his hand off and came home on the bus with a wad of cash in me pocket :rotfl: :rotfl: Not sure Mr Daffs would have been impressed :p

    Filled it up with diesel, and made bed up in the back. Been to flute lesson, very jolly :T :T :T Ordered a couple of tonnes of topsoil for the garden to be delivered on Monday :eek: :D Which means we're very close to having a seating area! :T :T :T

    Still to do this evening....

    * tidy up (house is a tip - hopefully just a superficial one because it's only getting a superficial tidy! :rotfl:)
    * put another layer of mortar in the gaps in the corners of the wall (it'll need another 2 before the soil comes on Monday, and I'm away for the weekend :eek:)
    * sort out some clothes - including a pirate outfit - for tomorrow :p
    * make a picnic for tomorrow
    * shred (er, not much chance of that now!)
    * collect camping gear from friend's house (after 8.30, which means going out AGAIN)
    * probably collect Mr Daffs from train station
    * have a bath?! We'll see I suppose!

    Would quite like today to stop soon, it's all gone a bit blithering mental!

    Oh dear Cheery you sound harrassed. Never mind, when you are a pirate at the weekend you can make all those niggles walk the plank. By the way, where are you going to in Wales that requires you to dress like a pirate, it sound fun.

    I hope that you are going to blog about the seating area when it is done. If you are not around later have a safe journey and enjoy being a pirate Ooo Aar

    Thanks cheri :) Harrassed has indeed been the word of the day! In fact, I have made an executive decision and sent the bloke I'm meant to be giving a lift to a message telling him I'd quite like to give him the car keys and send him on his own... We'll see - I might feel alright in the morning, but right now I don't want to go at all!

    (is a party at a friend's boyfriend's mother's house on top of a mountain somewhere near bala). May feel better after good night's kip (although I did have one last night) - but feeling very much in need of staying still. Party will largely be drunk people, and I only know a couple of them, so we'll see..

    Thanks KC, goodness knows what was wrong with me yesterday I was in a right strop! Still, back to normal today :D Up an hour ago, and I stuck another layer of cement on the weaker bits of the wall, and now I've found somewhere that'll fit me a couple of tyres on the car (£100 for 2 - but at least they can do it NOW and I won't have to think about it for MONTHS AND MONTHS with any luck...). Then WI, making picnic, and I'm in a much better mood so I'm actually contemplating going to Wales today :p We'll see...

    Tyres done, all very jolly. Bloke said 'Is it Miss or Mrs?' "DOCTOR" I said :D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: wouldn't usually, but why on earth not?? Apparently he said it to someone last week, and they said "I'm a LADY actually..." :rotfl: must try that one next time :p :rotfl: off to WI now :D

    :T:T:T DOCTOR - well done for using the title. Must do that more often.

    Now then Dr Daffs, I prescribe a nice rest it sounds much needed. So if you dont fancy going to Wales then dont feel obliged.

    I did go, and I had an absolutely GORGEOUS time :T :T Lovely over there, was very jealous of the house (but not of the 1.5 mile uphill sheep track to get there :eek:) Sneaked off for a small nap at 9pm last night - woke up at 11.15, went back to the party and had a cuppa, then back to bed and slept til 9 this morning :rotfl: Obviously needed it!

    Just drove home, now enjoying a cuppa :T :T SO glad I went, it was the right thing to do (although I couldn't have gone if it was on Friday!)

    Anyway, few things need doing this evening...

    * put camping stuff away from kitchen/car
    * shovel rubble into hole in garden ready for topsoil arriving tomorrow morning :T :T
    * make tea
    * sit down and make commitment to myself to eat healthily again - I am paying for slimming world and I have NOT stuck to it this week AT ALL Am fully expecting to have put weight ON this week - I won't be surprised, but I also won't be impressed with myself :o Need to commit!
    * shred :D (or perhaps a run, I'll see what the weather's like)
    * nice bath :D

    Bloke over the road just offered me a bit load of local stone left over from doing stuff to his garden :T :T It's beautiful! (shame he didn't catch me before I built the breezeblock wall... :rotfl: :rotfl:) Anyway, probably can't do anything on that project, but made me think about a raised bed elsewhere in the garden - got to have a think about it! Woman a couple of doors up offered me a wicker chair thing the other day - I said no, then half changed my mind - think I need to say yes and go and get it (although it does need painting).

    So plenty to think about! :T
