Wow that's all looking really good :T OK, you overspent this week, but a lot of those things you wouldn't buy every week (unless you have a secret tin opener collecting addiction that we don't know about :rotfl:)

Love the blog post.. that's definitely something to think about, getting as much of what you want into what you do now... hmmmmmm :)

Well done on the savings Cheery. As for the overspend, well you wouldnt normally pay for your Mum on the bus and cake in London. Maybe you should just think that sometimes (occasionally) it is ok to treat yourself. After all, life is for living and as much as you are saving for your "future patchwork" lifestyle, you also have to remember that it might not come along.......... hence a treat when you feel the need is ok.

I say this because I just found out that my lovely village postman (who is/was only 45) just collapsed in the village on Monday and died from a heart attack. Such a shock he was a lovely man and was just telling me last week how he was looking forward to a few things

Goodness cheri, that is a shock :( You're right though, we just don't know what's round the corner. From now on I refuse to feel guilty at spending a few little bits here and there :T :T :D

MR daffs didn't get up early enough to take car to the garage, so I've just got back from taking him to the station AND the car to the garage... got about 10 mintes before I have to go to the dentist to have a filling redone.

I'm getting the feeling today isn't going to be the most productive day...

Right - car is in garage, ex-ex-mr-daffs' email account is hacked into (with his permission - he needed a number for his loft conversion architect - the builders seem to have built the wall too far over, meaning he can't fit a bed in the room   ), dentist been seen (and now face feels like giant balloon and I can't even have a cup of tea cos it'll all dribble out of the side of my mouth), and Mr Daffs rang to say the prescription wasn't in his jacket after all - turns out it was in the kitchen all along and I could have had it yesterday :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: At least I've got the darn tablets now! :T :T

Have also got myself a spade (I bent the old one - need this one for filling in my giant hole in the garden! :T), and a tub of varnish (for my shiny new front door :T :T). And some flowers, from the lovely local florist who sells off her slight-past-best flowers at £1 a bunch :D:D

So now I've got 4 hours before I need to leave for flute lesson, and haven't even STARTED work yet    Here's the plan:

    1.30-2.30 work very hard :p
2.30-3 lunch (can't eat til then cos mouth still numb!)
    3-5.30 work very hard again

    6-6.30 flute lesson

7-8 flylady pod cast home blessing hour thing :p

8-8.30 shred  (being careful when undressing so as not to repeat Hypno's palaver...)

    8.30 nice hot bath :D:D:D

Also need to decide about Wales tomorrow - right now the thought of driving for 4 hours only to drive back for 4 hours on Sunday is not filling me with joy.... Offered someone a lift but right now just thinking about giving them the keys to the car...

OOh - car - must rng garage - Suppose I'm going to have to go and get that back at some point too! <sigh> At this rate I'm going to have to work all bloody weekend to make up for today!

I just tried a mini toot while waiting for the computer to boot up - surprisingly effective! :T :T :rotfl: (nice excuse for not being able to do my scales though :rotfl:)

Also realised I forgot to get milk   Suppose I've got to go out again today at least twice though - sigh!

And also realised that party in Wales isn't 4 hours drive- it's only just over 2.5 hours... which makes it slightly less unappealing...

    Bl**dy car

£80 last week for the wheelbearings, and took it in for a service today, told him we were driving to far north of Scotland in a couple of weeks and asked him to sort anything that looked like it might fall apart on the way...

£160!   Bloody thing. Honestly, we've now spent FAR more on it than we paid for it in the last year - and as usual, I'm regretting getting rid of my lovely old rickety post van

Ah well, at least my mouth's recovered enough to have a cup of tea - about time don't you think!?

You know what, it's nearly 3.30, and i've done about 5 minutes of work today. There is absolutely NOTHING that can't wait, nothing urgent at all, there is absolutely NO WAY I am working late, or over the weekend to make this up, so I've now decided to abandon ship and take the day as annual leave.

Quite ridiculous, and I know I feel like I should do something nice, but this will give me chance to amble into town rather than running, to sort eh car out for tomorrow in a leisurely fashion (if I don't set fire to it in a temper:p) and to have a nice bath without feeling bad that I haven't worked hard enough.

Our holiday year only runs to the end of September, so I've got plenty of days left.

Feel better already :D:D Tea anyone??

Oooh, that looks tasty! :T :T Best not tempt me with any more cake though :p

Anyway, the good things are.... I only have to pay half of it (we don't have a shared bank account, so split stuff like this, so it always feels like less :rotfl:) AND I don't have to worry where my half's coming from for once! :T :T :T A celebration indeed :D
