Madness indeed VL!
Especially since I forgot that the clocks changing meant I would lose an hour of daylight   Consequently fence is still 8 foot tall all the way round and I now can't see to cut it (and my secateurs are cr*p). Have tied it to the stakes as best I can to stop it blowing over tonight (fortunately it's not windy) and as I'm now in York for 3 days, Mr daffs is going to cut the top off tomorrow
Good really - it's an absolutely vile job and I'm not at all sorry to be missing it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Bath's running :T :T :T :T Then I'm off out to the pub to watch the last man in space or on earth or in space or something0 -
Phew! That was a long day! :rotfl: Walked into town bringing the day's total on foot to about 8.5 miles  Paid £5 to watch Mr Daffs sing for half an hour  - hope he appreciates it
They were showing The Last Man on Earth after that, with a band playing an improvised soundtrack. Another day I might have stayed to watch, but it was a tiny room, there were only 10 people in the audience, so I couldn't really have left half way through, and I was sat on a hard chair and was starting to seize up :rotfl: :rotfl: So I left Mr Daffs down there and came back and now have hot water bottle, hot chocolate - and the alarm set for 5.40 so I can get to work in time for a 4 hour training course starting at 9am  :rotfl: :rotfl:
Can't say I didn't have a busy weekend! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I pretty much agree you had a busy weekend :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I'd certainly have bottled out on the film myself!
Hope you're not too stiff today, especially with an early-start training course coming up!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC. Didn't do too badly today - training course was actually really interesting, social media for researchers, learned about lots of things! :T :T
Blithering worn out though, just about to hop in the bath again :j :j :j0 -
<yawn>
Didn't get home from work til half past midnight last night   (we ran an event and then got taken out for tea)
Consequently work not really started yet...but that's ok.
Must start thinking about internet banking again soon!0 -
Right then, been shuffling about with the internet banking...
Patchwork living fund now up to £2634 :j :j :j :j Hooray, although some work still required if it's going to get to £10,000 by the end of next year! :rotfl: :rotfl: I've started putting £500 a month in there instead of £400, so we'll see... (I did work out how much that would make it, but hte book I wrote it in is upstairs. It may have worked out, I can't remember)
Overall total looking pretty healthy too :T :T Not entirely sure I'll make my completely arbitrary target :rotfl: :rotfl: but not done a bad job at all I don't think :T :T
Another 2 paydays to go this year (blimey, is that all?!), so by the end of the year should have:
* patchwork fund £2634 + £500 + £500 = £3634
*overall savings 5458 + £670 + £670 = £6798 = 83.41% - not toooooo far offOnly £1352 short, and since it's unlikely I'm going to find that down the back of the sofa in the next two months, I might just have to live with it
(mind you, I'm probably not going to be going to work for a month, so that'll save about £120-£180 on train fares! :money: :rotfl:)
£634 left in the bank now, and I'm pretty sure I was meant to have £200 of the emergency fund in there as a float....That needs to cover:
£150 food (£30 a week x 5 weeks)
£150 fun
£180 train fares (£12 a day x 3 days a week - spare goes to flute lessons etc)
£15 union fees
£15 phone bill
What's that? (count on fingers) £510 - so it looks like I may have spent about £70 of last month's float...(although actually I've got cash in my purse and this weeks train fares are already bought, so it pretty much works out. I think.)
Bleurgh, can't be bothered thinking about it any more, going to go to bed instead...0 -
I like that CBA .... especially when it comes at the end of such a detailed post2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
:rotfl: :rotfl: I know - I'd just reached my limit of what I could be bothered thinking about at that time of night!
Sun's shining today and I'm working at home so might pop out for a little walk later :T :T0 -
Hope you enjoy the walk, well done on all that hard work and saving!!!!
Peeing it down here in a sideways manner.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Gone all cloudy and grey now in sympathy
Got to pot up cheery little plants later - think they're missing their sea view and not too impressed with a view of the other side of my road! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
