:hello::hello::hello: Hello stranger :hello::hello::hello:, I managed to lose your thread but glad I've found it again :D. Glad to see all well with you, and that your copious use of smilies is continuing ;), you're the only MSE'er I know who uses more than me

*wants to know about shopping trip and hummous* :D Well done on the run, and of course the important beating Mr Daffs :rotfl:

Not that exciting sadly Squizz! :rotfl: Bought some new running trainers (£65 so pretty cheap as they go (and the cheapest in the shop), but still feels expensive!). And also, gosh, can't even remember now! Wasn't frivolous stuff mostly, I just don't usually buy that much in one go :rotfl: Er cotton wool, nail varnish remover, loo roll, some coloured pencils for nephew's birthday (didn't get the rest of his present though - pah!), some geranium essential oil (that was the splashing out purchase of the day at £3.90) - didn't go completely mad, it just felt like it was adding up and I came home with bags full of stuff - bought cake ingredients too though so had lots to carry! :p

Hummous? Felt poor after buying shoes :p so bought broad beans (41p a tin) instead of chick peas (89p) :rotfl: :rotfl: Whizzed it with garlic, lemon juice, tahini - quite tasty actually, and since there was so much food at the thing anyway, I brought most of it home again :D :money: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Nicely pottering day in the garden yesterday :T :T

Working at home today and I appear to be full of cold and feeling rather sorry for myself :o Bleurgh. Mr Daffs just informed me that his friend is arriving in 10 minutes for a day of songwriting  We have no internal doors in this house... so I shall be treated to the sound of the two of them - one in the kitchen, one in the upstairs spare room - writing different songs while I try to work in the attic...

I fear a day spent touring the local cafes is in order! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

All pretty sensible buys then! Good idea to buy decent running trainers when you're doing it regularly.

The hummous sounds lovely - we sometimes make normal chickpea stuff but that sounds great!

Hope the cold doesn't linger  (it's Lemsip, honest!)

I already did have decent trainers (been doing it for years - just not very good at it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:) but had them for about 6 years and they've lost all their boingines...

So far we've got an electric guitar in the kitchen, and a rather squeaky clarinet in the room below my attic. I'm disappearing off to my lovely work colleague's house at 1.30 - might just have to plug up my ears before then... :D
  • Hey up all, great stuff with the humous!

    Catching up slowly! :)

    Waves to all :)

so do I! Strangely enough I managed the whole weekend without it bthering me too much (other than making me a bit grumpy and short tempered) but now I have to work again I feel rotten :o :rotfl: :rotfl:

Off to lovely office mate's house now though, should nicely sort me out and hopefully I'll be far more productive in the presence of someone else! :T :T :T

Had a rather productive afternoon in the end :D Head still feels full of cotton wool and all vile though :(:( Was going to trot out for a run in the dark in my new shoes, but think I'd be better doing the washing up, inventing some lunch for tomorrow, then doing a mini bit of pilates and going to bed! York tomorrow and Wednesday, and Leeds on Thursday, so last day of resting for a couple of days. Bleurgh!
