I am reading from the beginning! I don't want to miss anything! I LOVE reading your diary - you're like a childfree version of me. I have so far been inspired to:
- plant a herb garden
- put up the living room blind that I bought weeks and weeks ago
- join slimming world
- join the gym/go to the doctor.
I haven't done those things yet but by golly I'm gonna! And the project thing - put everything in one place, give it folders and action points - I am so all over that. And I think I was the one who started nagging you about pretty undies many yonks ago yet my underwear drawer has become far more shabby than chic and it needs addressing dagnamit!
So, yes, I am reading from the beginning. I don't want to miss anything. It's my little me time treat. You've put a bit of fire back in my belly. Which will hopefully keep me warm when the diet kicks in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Awww, Ruby, thats lovely! Cheery is a *very* inspirational person, its true.
Cheery, hope you're telling that cold where to get off ... loving the whole sausage and mash/undies thing going on :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
aw Ruby
I'd forgotten I'd done half of those things :rotfl: :rotfl:
(should I tell her I left both Slimming World *and* the gym??:rotfl: :rotfl: Best not
)
As for being fabulous - didn't stop me getting thrown out of bed at 6.30 for coughing and spluttering too much :rotfl: :rotfl: Well, that wasn't entirely how the conversation wentbut it did result in me curling up on the sofa, which fortunately is extremely comfortable, and I can sleep on whichever side I like and cough and sniffle til my hearts content down here
Off to visit my sister and her tribe of boys today. Before that though, need to..
* get up (laptop was too close to the sofa to bother :rotfl:)
* shower
* get dressed
* breakfast
* put cake in the oven
* tidy downstairs
* quick tidy upstairs
* wrap present
* make card
er, think that's it, although I want to leave about 11 so I'd best get a shift on! :eek: :eek:
Been thinking maybe I should try a few no spend days... Never really did that, despite how long I've been hanging round here, but I'vebeen aware that so far this month I've spent £65 on trainers, £30 on underwear, £10 on ginger wineetc - it all adds up (the main problem is of course the £1 here and there on cake!)
Anyway, not going to hold myself to it, but today should be a NSD other than diesel to get to my sister's, which is budgeted for, so doesn't count - right??(or is that not how it works?? :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Ooh, and apparently my mother's sign language choir, who were competing in the sign language choir section of the Jersey Eisteddfod yesterday, won gold! :T :T :T0

That's why I'm reading it all the way through to find this stuff out! I'm very reluctant to 'diet' by my weight has been on the up for a significant period of time now and it's hitting numbers I swore it would never hit. It bothers me because when I see a handsome man I hide rather than interact because I don't feel my body is ready
. I have a personalised plan from my friend who is a PT and it is so easy but I can't make myself stick to it without structure. And as for the gym, it wouldn't be my first choice but we have a fantastic gym which costs £15 (by far the cheapest option of any exercise) and I lost loads of weight when I went there regularly before. I just need to kickstart and get out of all these dreadful habits I've picked up. But please do share the pros and cons with me so that I can make an informed choice - eyes wide open and all that
.

not sure about pros and cons - just know that I've done SW several times and the weight mostly comes off quite slowly, then goes back on again very quickly...
Been reading this lately, much prefer the idea of developing a healthy relationship with food!0 -
Bleurgh.
Full of cold still, and another night on the sofa (which I don't mind too much, but it's not *quite* as comfy as bed). Struggling to be enthusiastic today, but at least I didn't have to go to York today - I'm be just about getting off the train at the other end by now, whereas actually I'm still curled up under a blanket with my cuppa :T :T :T
Contemplating taking half a day holiday - although not sure which halfPerhaps the whole day?? Will investigate and have a quick chat to colleague...

Why take holiday if you're ill? Surely that is sick leave?
I am contemplating which order to try and fit a week's worth of stuff into 5 hours. Unfortunately, I think reorganising boys bedroom wins as I have been obsessing about it all night...Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Funnily enough Ruby, that's what work said :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The only answer I had was because I've never taken a day off sick before (I don't think, unless you count the time I actually threw up at work and they sent me home
), and I have this inherent feeling that 'having a cold' doesn't count as 'being sick' especially when I'm working from home anyway and won't be infecting anyone other than Mr Daffs who's probably getting it anyway
However - I feel utterly rotten, have used almost an entire loo roll blowing my nose, and since I have an operation in just over a fortnight, it's really quite important that I get better NOW so they don't postpone it! :eek:
So - vitamin c tablets, blankets, sofa, tea, cake, reading and snoozing and a nice bath for me today, and treats of course :T :T And hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow - meant to be going into the office for just one meeting, so I've emailed and asked if we can potentially deal with it over the phone instead so I've got the option of working from home rather than travelling tomorrow if necessary.
Just need Mr Daffs to get up now so he can make me some tea0
