    Evening all

Hardly been on here all weekend, been farming, chauffeuring, beetle driving (grrr the cheat 'won' for the 3 time running ) F1ing (not seen all race yet so shush ;) ) and all round general chilling.

Have also spent ages with Miss A sorting miscellany from her bedroom and the landing (a WIP) and rounded off with a few episodes of Hamish MacBeth :D

Oh and we are in for the week.

I'm comfortable with it Jojo - personally I feel that you cannot keep them 100% 'controlled' by forcing what you want on them (and I have posted about this before - DD has a couple of friends who are reined in FAR too tightly IMO) GF's a really lovely girl. DS is a lucky lad!

AnWs - Karma...hateful though for children to see someone do that (if they did, that is) I just make lots of comments about standards;) dignity;) and things like that ;)

Thing is there are so many sensible/level-headed Flyladies that a general consensus from even a few of you, on this situation, puts my mind at rest.

I've got a feeling that isn't going to happen - since they'll be away all weekend the 'mice' are playing...they are choosing to leave a 17 YO and a 16YO 'home alone'... I know they are old enough.

Just warned DD she might be staying.

Then I would tell them myself.. I wouldn't want the parents hammering on the door when they get back and haven't known and find out... though I doubt they'll be bothered if they'd leave them home alone tbh.

DS (17) has announced his GF 'can stay over Friday night'

    Opinions please?

Completely agree with you on this, I would far rather know where they are and that they are safe and practiscing safely than sneaking around elsewhere. I remember my Dad saying much the same to me when I was younger.

Miss A was furious and so annoyed she was in tears of frustration on the way home. She knows my views and what goes around comes around. Several of us had tried to keep an eye on the 'winner' but with the way the game proceeds it is impossible to watch it all. What it does mean is that we can't organise another beetle drive if this young person is likely to attend :( I wouldn't take the SW's and others are muttering along similar lines.

Oh well worst happens at sea, better catch up on the end of last fred and catch up wi' mi' mate ;)

I got that.. they have a right to know.. I'd be furious if I left DD1 with DS1 and came home and she had sneaked off for the weekend she wouldn't be left again for lying to me! I'd also give the bf hell next time I saw him for lying to me as well.. lying by omission is still lying!

I'm in again after a long-ish absence due to being away at Easter and my Mum sadly passing away on Good Friday. House has looked like a bomb site as she lived 200 miles away so we lived out of bags for 3 weeks whilst everything was being sorted. Made great inroads with the ironing that has been lurking for a month yesterday and have only got 1 weekend bag left to unpack now!
My grand plan around everything else this week is to swap winter and summer clothes over as I can't get anything in the warddrobe at the moment - I am hoping that with an extra day next weekend I will manage to get this sorted.
Thanks as always for the great lists - I am hoping they will get me back on track as I went on holiday knowing that downstairs was in the best possible shape it had been in for years! Just need to get back to that state now and then make a start on the upstairs....
