Monday ~ Living Room, Hall Level 1
Vacuum floors and sofas
Wipe over sticky sofas..
Level 2
Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter
Clean mirrors and other glass things that are meant to be shiny!
Level 3
Wipe paintworks and any grubby marks off walls etc
Clean any fluffy electricals and defluff behind the radiators!
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
Extras
clear a hotspot or 3!
Clean light shades/fittings and lamps.. and lightbulbs.. replace with energy saving ones if needed!
Clean a window or two.
Wash any smelly soft furnishings!

Toots' list.............

1. filing - job for May!!!! (sort shred and file bank stuff/kids pictures/shred old accounts stuff that was in shed /sort through pc files (I know its not strictly paper!!) /make updated list of debts ALL WIP
2. purge files WIP
3. Gather insurance documents WIP
4. Gather important papers for solicitor/DB/house & put in new file
5. Gather papers for selling flat WIP
6. Passport - fill in form, take to PO and submit - (need £85)
7. declutter and eBay the stuff to get the money for heater for (new)LR/ tumble dryer/ trip switch repair/ debts /passport £85
8. Wash the vacuum cleaner innards and filters.. do not reassemble until completely dry!!
9. sell and payout F's eBay stuff WIP
10. find and label all chargers
11. do contacts list for DB- 1 list doneWIP
12. get emergency contact numbers for emergency box on top shelf
13. clean screen
14. clean printer and see if fixable
15. clean tower on outside
16. do a Valli on the inside!
17. Clean keyboard -yeuch!

20. dispose of books from 2nd bookcase
21. polish leather chair

27. lift hall runner and clean floor
28. clean and cover garden table
29. get garden parasol repaired or replaced or dumped
30. move rest of stuff from shed and plants to new place WIP

Hello, I'm joining in for the first time I really want to try and make the house a nicer place for OH - I don't notice clutter and dust at all, he's ex-Navy and it drives him up the wall! He already does all the cooking, I'm supposed to do the laundry and the cleaning - well, the laundry gets done...:o

I'm going to start small, so on Monday I will do my best to:

- Hoover the living room, hall and stairs (could be fun, one of our spaniels is terrified of the hoover, usually have to wait until OH is around to take the dogs out!)
- remove dog covers from sofas, plump up sofa cushions, hoover out and replace.
- declutter the coffee table and the side table next to my sofa
- quick swish around with the duster

checked our EHICS - they're out of date so I need to replace them *in case* I/we get a chance to use them!

I'm really noticing a difference in the house even if I only get level 1 done most days , it really does make a difference, really glad I found this thread :beer:

and here I was imagining allsorts, rendevousing with the secret service was top of my list....second was presenter of the new undercover show 'peg police' coming to a tv near you!

I've talked myself out of making the Lasagne I lovingly made bought, me and littley are full of rubbish and OH will have what he's given namely poached egg on toast, or beans cos that's easier.

I may or may not tidy the LR.

Thank you for the list. My house looks better already - after just one week! I am a bit disappointed in how much of my Toots list has not been touched but I will get there.

I'm in again this week so will do what I can, although I'm getting into a busy 3 weeks at work and will be away on and off from Thursday until mid June!!
