Make sure you ring your bank and cancel any payments to them as they may try to claim it from your bank account via your card details.

On saturday i received a letter from hfo with the original copy of the credit agreement made with Barclaycard in 2002. ( i requested this six weeks ago) The 'Nice' lady from Hfo has now rang me again requesting that i pay £500 now and the debt will go away. I still do not acknowledge this debt so i politely asked her to calm down and lower her tone as i was being reasonable as i do not remember debt. To which she replyied the last payment was made on 07/10/05 so debt is not yet statue barred and if i did not pay she would be forwarding my details to there solicitor to take me to court. To which i answered im sorry but i cannot pay a debt i cant remember so you will have to do this. (End of conversation)

What will happen now or what should i do?

    OK

Ring Barclaycard and ask for the latest balance to start with as any and all payments within the last 6 years will be detailed on their systems.

If that does not work, then do a Subject Access request on HFO. They have to provide a copy of every little bit of information on you that they have (including a note about all the telephone calls they have made. That will detail this "payment".
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
