Ive not informed them of the fact im not paying i think thats why they are confused i just cancelled my card with the bank.

I would ignore them for a bit; wait until they realise they cannot get the money.
Thanks for your help. Hopefully next week they will start asking questions again.

    Hi

Expend your energy going back to Barclaycard and demand an explanation for that link on your credit record. You need to know where that came from as that is the source of the HFO contact.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

This is what happens when you take the bait, as a nation of people we need to learn the stiff upper lip and ignore threats.

I know this only too well. Ive spent 6 years waiting for a ccj to drop off my credit report. Almost totally debt free looking to buy a house then this. I panicked and should know better.

I wouldn't write to them saying that you've cancelled the payment plan.

In fact i wouldn't write to them at all, except to reaffirm your SB letter if you really want to.

Do not talk them on to the phone ever again. If they insist on trying to contact you after the statute barred letter, charge them for each letter they send or phonecall they make! (payable by cheque in advance) :rotfl:

The Office of Fair Trading have issued a notice that they are Minded To Refuse (MTR) the renewal of HFO's consumer credit license.

So if you have any further undue hassle from them, it's important to report it/them to the OFT.
