The flightchecker prices update daily, about 9.30 am, I think. If any changes are made on the airline's website after that time then it won't be reflected in the prices you pull up on your flightchecker search. That's probably what has happened. If you search for the same flight on the airline's own site, you'll probably get the £18.99 price coming up.

    Hope this helps.

PS. If you type in caps people will assume you're 'shouting' and may consider it rude. :)

  • Spot on - I'm in the same situation: I want to get to middle Italy, from the West Country, i.e., Bournemouth/Bristol/Exeter/Southampton, etc. without flogging up to London.
  • As a regular user of the original I'm delighted to see the addition of other carriers.

Thanks for providing such valuable service

    Keep going !!!

Here is the reply I received from Easyjet customer services:

    "Dear Ms XXXX

    Thank you for your email.

Although we are currently not involved in the Money Saving Expert's cheap flight checker this might be reviewed at a later stage.

easyJet Airlines is an independent company, though we were founded by Mr. Stelios Haji-Ioannou who heads the easyGroup, one of the other companies in this group is easyValue who work on a similar principle to flight checker.

We are always grateful for comments and suggestions from our passengers and we have passed your email on to our Commercial Team for their perusal.

For future reference, our Customer Service Database has been updated with regards to this correspondence.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again, either by phone on 0871 244 2366 (calls cost 10p per minute; calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more) or via the contact us section of the easyJet web site. We look forward to welcoming you on board in the future.

    Yours sincerely

    dear All,
It is a shame that Manston /Kent International Airport/ london Manston or what ever it calling itself today is not on the flightchecker (yet) as EUjet do have 75p flight sales from time to time. Also they have started using SMS txts to inform people if the flight that they have booked will be late. A first (they claim) for budget airline and i think a good idea.

Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

  • ..... and here's the reply I had from EasyJet.

Thank you very much for your email regarding flightchecker money saving scheme.

Hopefully we can clarify our position with regard to this matter.

easyJet has many commercial relationships with web portals, ISP's etc. which are seen as useful marketing tools that are beneficial to the airline. We also advertise easyJet.com through a multitude of different media channels. However, we do not have any commercial relationships with any companies that allow them to display our flight schedule, flights or fares. Our position has not changed since we first accepted bookings through our website https://www.easyjet.com . We want customers, regular or prospective, to access easyjet.com directly where the information they access is both current and relevant to their needs prior to and following a sale.

The flightchecker is misleading because it only shows the fare without the appropriate taxes and charges. The 'customer' has to go to the airlines website anyway in order to get the 'real' price for the flight. Their site works by trawling each airlines website once every 24 hours which means that there is a very good chance that the prices are out of date especially the closer you get to the date of departure.

Therefore easyJet will not enter the scheme and will continue to encourage their customers to visit our website directly.

In contrast the 'Marigolds' reply from them saying "Although we are currently not involved in the Money Saving Expert's cheap flight checker this might be reviewed at a later stage". Sounds like they're definitely saying 'no chance' now!!!
It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!
