The way people will use it- gives all in and out flights for the selected time span
when people might really on need out on a set day (perhaps +/- 3 days)
and in on a another (+/-) 3 days)
great giving all the dates/ prices inbetween - but surely puts pressure on serversAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Do you think it would ever be possible for it to calculate a rough estimate of the taxes as well, based on examples for similar journeys? (I know they differ for the different flight prices and destinations even within the same airline.)A penny saved is a penny gained0

The reason easyjet aren't interested is IMO they would show up poorly pricewise in comparison to all the other airlines on the flightchecker. Having used on trial the ufly4less checker, I searched for flights to spain(anywhere) from Newcastle between now and August. Not one flight under £30 +tax, Weekends were more like £50 +. God, even Thomsons are kicking their !!!!!!! They are still a no frills airline, but they definately aren't budget.
One thing I think that would be usefull is maybe a shaded band for Saturdays and Sundays. This checker is an incredible piece of kit and the airlines on board will increase their sales no doubt0 -
I know its got that option - but what I meant is taht the standard results give out too much info- ( say 14 days worth of in/out flights when only want out on one day, in on last day )
is that putting pressure on serverAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Try this for flight comparisons, its good : SkyScanner

ONE ... emailed EasyJet "Why don't you allow access to your flights database so that the 'Flights Checker' on the MoneySavingExpert' website has access to this data?As they say " ... MoneySavingExpert.com ‘Ryanair FlightChecker’ was used over 100,000 times plus a month", so your excuse that "no one’d want that" carries no weight." so just now waiting a reply!!;)
TW0 ... notice that many of you are asking about the 'reverse' process i.e. know where you want to go but don't care where you go from. I did raise this with the 'author' a couple of months ago. Be patient ... this 'Flight Checker' is an extremely useful tool and the guy who designed & programmed it must now have realised what a 'monster' this has become. As with all things, it will get to be REALLY useful as the development progress's.
THREE ... what am I doing wrong! Selected Flights from Bristol; ticked the 'All Destinations'; selected the dates (1st August & 7th August); +/- 3 days selected; Prices under £100 ....... and the return shows Outbounds from loads of different airports even though I selected Bristol in 'Depart from'.:(
I expected the return to show all flights from Bristol to 'anywhere'!!
FOUR ... another useful airline woth considering (if you haven't already done so is ThomsonFly ... some really cheap flights out of Coventry).
FIVE ... this will be really really really useful when it includes Worldwide Flights.
I also think EasyJet are worried about showing how expensive 'the webs favourite airline' really is.It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!0 -
I do not like the way it doesn't cover all the airlines. I also would prefer it included an option to find the cheapest flight in the UK to a specific destination rather than the cheapest flight at each airport.
For example flying from Gatwick to Porto on british airways is quite a cheap way to get to portugal and can work out cheaper for those of us who live close to London. However your tool does not include Porto as a destination from gatwick.
Still good going mse, a nice little tool.0
