Could someone help please, I'm a first timer to the chat so would like a few pointers, I can see the questions that have been asked, but cant seem to see the replies..how do I find them, and one qustion about this new flight site.. assuming you find a flight that you want, how do you find the return flight and how do you book it? sorry to appear a bit dim

As I said earlier, this Flight Checker has just got sooooo popular, that I don't think the 'author' knew what he was letting himself in for!!! Just glad he's a member of MSE and we don't have to pay for it ..... unlike some other sites mentioned here.

The Flight Checker should give you everything you need .... to actually book the flights you will need to go to the airlines websites.

For example .
Fly from Bristol; Fly to Jersey; between 1st March and 11th April; prices under £20 returns:
Flight out on the 1st April, return on 6th April with Flybe for £22.60 (as at time of writing!!)

I expected the return to show all flights from Bristol to 'anywhere'!!

Ahhaaaaaa! Now I understand ... if you choose 'All Destinations' the airport codes shown on the 'Outbound' side are where the Bristol flights are going too, NOT where they're flying from!!!!!

More airlines will come soon. As for the other options - well we need permissions to do this. However this is why i included links to the traditional flight checkers at the bottom - our FlightChecker is a specific tool there are already checkers covering the main airlines so i didn't want to develop that - after all it costs money so its just trying to do something that didnt exist before

What a superb facility the flight checker is.

Might I suggest the inclusion of Monarch. We fly fairly regularly between Manchester(or Liverpool or Leeds/Bradford) and Alicante and, on the majority of occassions, find them cheaper than bmibaby, easyjet. jet2 or chatered carriers

Incidentally I have never found easyjet to be the cheapest option.

I hope this answers a common question regarding the date options

Take as example between 1 April and 1 July
All departure/return dates between 1 april will show all fares at or below your set limit ie £25

+/- 3 days would show any flights up to 3 days before or after 1 april and same for 1 July WITHIN your price limit

+/- 1 day ,as above but one day either side

Exact date is as it says

Flights may be available but maybe not at your set limit,so to increase choice, increase limit at say £10 increments

If you can fly anytime and just want the LOWEST fare, then choose ALL DEPARTURE DATES.

Especially with Ryanair you may save more by booking single fares to Spain
as often the price for the return leg is the same in Euros as is shown in £s

I frequently find that although Ryanair are quoting the lowest fare easyjJet are cheaper when you add on 'taxes and charges'.
Ryanair cheat in this respect - when I visit a supermarket I don't get charged extra for rent, rates, insurance etc - and then of course extra charges for both credit and debit cards - how else are we mean't to pay?
I fear your comparison service will just encourage more of the price getting shifted from the ticket price to 'taxes and charges'.

Great feature! I thought I had some really cheap flights until I noticed the tax! £76!
