Dammit not realised that - yes I did so that's it.
Just picked up another deal with shopping, so argghhh, will have to see. Guess the trick s to put it through separately. Does it apply to reduced items do you know?
Tesco will compare the reduced price with the full price at Asda, so I always put through any such bargains in a separate transaction.
I don't usually check to see what is cheaper at Asda, but if it's full-price at Tesco it goes in my RTD shop and it's amazing how often I get a nice surprise, eg today I bought some Krave as a treat for the kids, £2.45 in T's and £2 at Asda....altho if I'd checked before I'd shopped I'd have seen it was also 3 for £5 at Asda!!0 -
No need to be so touchy! The way I read it was that the OP was thinking that it would have saved a lot of devious goings on with receipts if the check out staff had got a prompt on their tills to remind them to sign the used receipts. It appeared to be a comment about Tesco & their methods rather than a poke at the SA!
That is exactly what I meant .Never pay more than you have too0 -
I just picked up 2 meal deals, also some ben and jerries as is £2 in Asda and £4.18 in Tesco.0

Yep. Don't put reduced through with items where you want the difference."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Putting aside the N/A risk for one moment, the answers would be;
(1) because it's a way of churning spending through your clubcard account and accumulating points,
(2) because it makes it easier to hit the target if you've got a conditional spend coupon (and thus increasing the effective discount from said coupon).0 -

There's now no point in buying items double the price of Asda UNLESS you haven't got an Asda close by. You stand the risk of the item coming back N/A
Surely it's wiser to buy things the SAME price in both or if you do want to top up primarily buy things that there is a difference but you can negate that with a money off voucher - just in case it doesn't come back as found?weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -
Anyone tried the dine in for 2 @ M&S? had a look there yesterday, some of the items include rump steak, sirloin steak, whole cooked chicken and chicken and prawn paella.If you don’t speculate, you can’t accumulate. :beer:0

My only issue with tesco with this offer is the lack of selection. The wine is great and starting to get a good selection of the white one.. Its screw top so does anyone know how long it will last?
The selection off dinners is a little bad, But of course if your paying very little or if any for it you cant really complain. but the puddings are not that nice. The cheesecake tastes a little nasty and theres only so much chocolate pudding you can eat and the cheese is uwful
One last thing, I didnt get giving the discount on one of my items and the store gaves me a £9.99 refund but gave me the recipt back.. unmarked. but didnt give me double the difference. What should I do?0 -
A bit off topic but Philip Clarke has started to respond to some queries on the Tesco Facebook page so if any of you have any queries for him then it's worth putting them on there. Especially if Tesco decide to stop playing by the rules again which as history has shown- they're not adverse to doing! LolPlease remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0
