Please tell us more stories like this, it feels like some sort of fairytale!
I'm just sorry I missed this!
How much stuff did you get, if you don't mind me asking?

    A lady never tells!
It was quite good! Here's a link to one of the threads.

Thanks for the reply but still not sure what you mean - you buy something and take it back for a refund and still keep the item? How? or was it a price error thing?

One of their more expensive C**** UPS was the Sony fiasco - Xboxes, nintendo, psp's and Game of the Week. They apparently had a deal going with Sony to promote these consoles if purchsed with a game with a £20 discount. The included game changed each week so you had to make sure you bought whatever Game of the Week was advertised in the store.

Unfortunately (or VERY fortunately - depending on whether you are a canny customer or one of Tesco Marketing staff:D), Tesco were consistently (over a period of quite a few weeks) a week late in sending down the new Game of the Week posters. So, to cut a long story short, customers were buying an Xbox etc, picking up the advertised included game and expecting a £20 discount at the till. Which was clearly not going to happen cos the game was the wrong b***** one!!!

Quick trip to CS, a horrified silence, entry of a distraught Manager - and a refund of however many hundred pounds the item cost. And the Xbox plus game handed back to you with a VERY sickly smile.

My grandchildren had an excellent set of birthdays that year. I believe that Tesco lost thousands - they appeared to be locked into a contract with Sony which they couldn't get out of.

There were loads more similar things from meat and champagne to various electrical items.

Basically the whole Tesco Marketing Department has been sh!te for several years and should be sacked.

    Not that I'm complaining!

Just got my receipt details back and only £5.42 returned, l had two meal deals, everything is there properly and the Turner Road is listed there correctly, £19.98 at TEscos, and £8.02 at Asdas, there's lots of other stuff so why hasn't the wine from the meal deal been included?

This is only the 2nd receipt at that email address, l've gone to print voucher and it wants to print at £5.42.

    Ideas anyone??

    Happy moneysaving all.

They were "interesting" times, but were certainly not easy, included several people being banned from Tesco, the arguments at CS whilst you stood your ground were not something I would want to repeat and I only had a couple of xbox games, not even a console!
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p
