Tesco misprices thread 8 - please only post misprices here

This thread is only for posting any misprices you find at Tescos.

Please don't use this thread for discussion of the policy or any other discussions as this will detract from the actual misprices which will get lost amongst the chatter.

For new readers:

For clarification SEL stands for Shelf Edge Label, R & R stands for Refund & Retain, DTD stands for Double the Difference

The Tesco policy changed on 26th February 2007 to Double the Difference back if you have been overcharged.

Yeo Valley 2 litre organic semi skimmed milk 13.5% extra free marked as £1.71 charged £2. Apparently bar code was different. In reality the 13.5% is not free because it is now £2. Got DTD.

    hi

first off, please accpet my apologies as i know this thread shouldnt be for discussion of any sort, but im well new here and believe me, it can all appear a bit of an overwhelming maze to a newbie with so many threads and posts and so i hope i can just squeeze this in at the beginning of this new thread

where can i find explanations of SEL DTD RNR ?

i cant seem to go back to before "Tesco misprices thread 7", i've looked thru quite a few previous posts and what ive gained so far [pls correct me if i am wrong] is

    SEL - not got a clue :(

DTD - if its marked on the shelf at 50p and they ring it thru at 60p you can get 20p back

RNR - again no real clue, but think this might be DTD's predecessor and more than likely defunct now from what i saw in back in a thread 7 post

apologies once again and thanks in advance if someone could be so kind to provide or point me in the direction of an explanation for these TLA's

See the first post!!!! Most threads have an explanation of terms and abbreviations in post 1
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

FNC63 is after an explanation of the terms not the acronym.

Yes, SEL is Shelf Edge Label. You are correct about DTD. R&R again you are correct. It is defunct and preceeded DTD. If you were over charged then you got back what you paid and retained the item.

    Good luck to you.

  • It does make you wonder......

Anyway BACK to mis-prices (Miss Price's what?, I hear all the Two Ronnies fans cry out...)

In store yesterday I noticed that one of the Champagnes and one of the Cavas had an offer that finished on the 5th. Went in store this morning and the Cava ticket had gone (you may be luckier) but the Champers one was still displayed - bad news, only one bottle left.

Felt just like the old days (complete with suitable CS facial expressions).

SEL £14.00 - charged £29.00. Paid me a pound to take it away hey hey!

    Nick
(by name etc etc - just ask CS this morning!)
