For clarification SEL stands for Shelf Edge Label, R & R stands for Refund & Retain, DTD stands for Double the Difference... what part of that needed explaining...?

perhaps it was shelf edge label? that's the label on the shelf edge.
perhaps it was refund and retain? thats where you get a refund and retain the item.
perhaps it was..... I'll stop there.. and sorry again!

    It does make you wonder......

Anyway BACK to mis-prices (Miss Price's what?, I hear all the Two Ronnies fans cry out...)

In store yesterday I noticed that one of the Champagnes and one of the Cavas had an offer that finished on the 5th. Went in store this morning and the Cava ticket had gone (you may be luckier) but the Champers one was still displayed - bad news, only one bottle left.

Felt just like the old days (complete with suitable CS facial expressions).

SEL £14.00 - charged £29.00. Paid me a pound to take it away hey hey!

    Nick
(by name etc etc - just ask CS this morning!)

Thank you Nick this prompted my first DD!!!!:j .

I hold my head in shame though as there were at least 10 bottles behind the shelf edge label of £14 but I bottled it (pardon the pun)!! I picked up three and was charged £87 (3 times £29 original price). I then went to customer service and was offered a refund of £45- i asked whether they had a double the difference policy and the supervisor was called. After much head scratching and prompting from me she agreed to give me double the difference ie £90!!!

The young girl who was asked to arrange for me then said "so i need to give you a refund of £90 per bottle"- I could not do it to her and stated no just £90 in total.

So walked out with 3 bottles of Bricolt Prestige Champers and £3 the richer.Just for an added bonus the Tesco Metro in question has just opened and I had a voucher for £5 off when you spend over £15 so really only spent £85 to get £90 back and 3 bottles.
I am no longer a DD virgin!!:j lol

Just wish I picked up all the bottles as I know many of you guys would have- nevermind perhaps next time!!

My first DTD! Only popped out for bathroom cleaner but spotted Iams natures wellness cat food with a SEL and a great big yellow offer label saying 2 for 30p.these are £1.78 each and I thought the offer should have been 2 for 3.00. took 2 ( not sure cats will eat it)and paid . went to CS and got 5.40 back.
