My next door neighbours dog is allowed to roam freely too, he often runs up to me and my dog and jumps all over him, last time he did it my dog warned him with a growl, then snapped at him when he didn't back off (my dog has arthritic toes, he hates dogs that bounce around and either stand on his sore toes, or on his back putting more pressure on them, his, understandably makes him grumpy) This isn't the first time. A few months ago, theysent their 6 year old out to retrivethe dog when he was loose an bothering us, the poor kid was not even nearly strong enough to pull his dog away, and kept getting between the dogs! If he'd bitten the other dog, or the child, guess who'd have been blamed? Most probably me, even though my dog was under control, on lead and in my presence, none of which the other dog was. Next time I see him out, I'm calling the warden, I overheard them saying they'd let him out the front to go to the loo-with the gates wide open!

Its this that gets me, owners that couldn't give 2 hoots what their dog does, and good owners and dogs get blamed when something goes wrong.
Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!
