Thanks lovelies, well I'm just feeding the boy whilst trying my absolute best to cook a Christmas dinner for my ban and grandad and OHs dad and stepmom, trouble is I'm really behind, everything is taking ages and I'm very tired and have a cold, and I've had to make a sodding chocolate cake as OHs dad doesn't eat anything Christmassy like mince pies or Xmas pudding, grrrrrr really wish we hadn't offered def not doing this again, it's such a shame as dinner for just us yesterday went so well :(. I hope everyone else is having a lovely Christmas, OH goes away tomorrow and I have to write a 2000 word assignment by midnight Wednesday, can't tell you how stressed I am! I thought Christmas was supposed to be a nice happy relaxing time! X

Morning, well dinner yesterday went ok in the end allbeit 2 hours late!!

OH has just left for his 2 weeks away at work:( so its me and baby roo against the world, fortunately roo is being really good and I am stuffing myself with chocolate orange (yes this early) to make myself feel better!!
    ,
I have an assignment to write today and tomorrow which i havent even started and have no idea how im going to di it with roo crying more often than not, it doesnt help that all I want to do is go to sleep!

Have been thinking about my new years resolutions and goals and challenges, so after I have written my assignment I will be listing them on here to make sure I stick to them, I haven't got much choice but to stick to them this year as money is so tight being on maternity leave etc, and I want to start up my own business which I know isn't going to be easy either, but it is all part of my grand plan to be a stay at home mum for as long as I can.

Challenges will involve, No spend days, grocery challenge, clothes budget challenge (think its £100 for the whole year), the no buying toiletries challenge (I got millions for Christmas), and handmaking (most) presents. Along with some personal goals, weight loss, be more organised etc, I will write a more definitive list when ive got time. Hope you're all ok, what are you up to today, i always find the day after boxing day a bit flat to be honest.

ok, trying to write an assignment with a 6 week old baby is nigh on impossible! bless him hes so distracting and so cute, i have done nothing, might have to go to my dads and have someone watch him whilst i try and get bits done! the house looks like a bomb has hit it after last nights visitors but that will have to stay like that until atleast tomorrow when my assignments finished!

feeling really sad and rather sorry for myself to be honest, have done nothing today. baby really wont settle at all, my assignment is due and i doubt very much it will get done, let alone be good enough for a level 2, feel like crying, gives me a new found respect for all single mums, i've been left by myself for 8 hours and already I'm an emotional wreck....

crikey listen to me, I need to man up a bit!! Babys happy and thats all that matters, he just wants to be held and he's all smiles bless him.

  • Hi Missy,

I just wanted to pop and say I think you are being a bit tough on yourself (hope you dont mind me saying this!).

Having a new baby around the house can be tough, I still remember the absolute shock of how much my life changed!! Who cares if the house looks like a bomb has hit, you have a 6 weeks old baby :).

Could you get an extension on the assignment?? xx

hey mummytogirls, thank you, Im such a perfectionist, and i know I'm putting extra pressure on myself, just don't know what to do. I've already had an extension, but with using every spare moment to sleep, look after baby and get ready for xmas time just ran away with me, theres no way even if i do get it done that i will getr a decent grade, im going to see if i can stop this course and restart with a literature one instead of a language one in mar/apr, i will hopefully be getting more sleep then and might be able to leave little one with parents without worrying myself stupid! Am a bit cross as i text my dad asking if they could look after the baby at theirs tomorrow with me there and if i could study at theirs using their office so that im close by if he needs me and that way they wouldnt have to drive the half hour to me either, and they hvnt even bothered to reply, feeling somewhat alone to be honest, feel like crying.

so sorry dont mean to whinge, am just so tired and hormonal x
