hey lovelies, well me and roo are chilling in bed after having a very sleepless night, think I got about 2hrs from about 6 this morning when OH took over, am knackered, baby seems to have really bad wind which he doesn't want to give up until half an hour after hes fed!!

Lol its not bad not sending out cards, we are only doing it this year as we have got some picture cards printed and they are doubling up as thank you cards!

well i dont seem to have achieved very much, have looked at my finances though and am hoping that i can pay it all off with januarys pay there is £600 on my CC, which I am NOT adding to this christmas! I really need to get it paid off as I still have my OU to pay and my phone bill etc etc. Speaking of my OU I have my next assignment due, goodness knows when I will get time to do it, I already have an extension on it!!!!! Still have £200 worth of presents to get and still need to wrap everything up, OH is ending up with 30 presents!!! Yes it is crazy!

Have also been looking at when I go back to work in september and expenses, and it really is hardly worth it, think after petrol I end up with about £50 a month!!! Am thinking of starting my own business and seeing how that pans out instead, but that is all in the grand plan for the new year!!

Didnt get to ebaying the other night, as Baby cried all evening! Have the Health Visitor coming today, so will see if she has any tips. Bless your little one Bella what a big boy he is, I'm not sure how much baby roo weighs as the Midwife appears to have confused his weights!! But he will be weighed today so we will see what he weighs, hes 4 and a half weeks old and only just in newborn clothes as hes quite little still bless him.

Have a little list of things to get through today, sending off forms and sending back stuff to M&M which didnt fit, posting cards etc, hopefully I can get some of it done as well as looking at my assignment!!

Have been researching supermarkets and comparing to see if in the new year, after christmas if I can get the shopping bill down, we seem to spend £100 every time we go to t£sco, but thats mostly due to OH chucking stuff in the trolley!!! The cost of nappies and wipes are pretty expensive too!

Also am going to have a challenge for next year of no buying clothes as I have looooaaaddddsss, and no buying books as I have so many I haven't read!!! Oh and no buying toiletries unless necessary, ie. no going into lush and spending £20 on 2 bars of soap and some shampoo!!!!! We have got our water softener fixed so my hair is doing what its told regardless of how cheap/expensive shampoo I use, so tesco cheapy it will be from now on. Have asked father christmas for some nice smellies too so hopefully I will get some too, as I have been a very good girl :)

Hope you get a better night tonight, I had an awful one myself. Poppy is going through a bit of a bad stage of sleeping.

I am not making much when i go back to work, is so expensive with childcare and travel. Is partly due to me choosing to do 4 days too but couldn't bare to be away from her all week. Starting your own business sounds like a great idea if you can find something that suits you.

We have the same thing with supermarkets and where i am at home all the time we seem to need more food in. Thankfully i have a big stash of nappies at the moment.

Bella - aww your LO sound slike a big boy :). Poppy is only around 16lbs now, getting her weighed this week, she is a dinky one.

The thing is about going back to work after ML that if you don't than who knows how long it will take after to find a new job? My friend decided to be a SAHM for the first 2 years of her daughter's life as it wasn't worth for her to go back to work, than extended it for another year. She started to look for a job when her daughter started nursery and basically she found she was unemployable as she had a gap on her CV. It took her 14 months to find a part time position, she now works 16 hours a week. It's not ideal but she needs to build up everything from the beginning.

If you can set up a business, than do it. Unfortunately I'm not creative enough to think what I would do, I do envy people with good ideas! I would probably need to go back to work after 6 months part-time and full-time after 9 months if I want to keep my current position:((.

well health visitor has been and gone, baby isnt putting on as much weight as he should be, eventhough he seems to be constantly feeding! Apparantly he needs to feed less often but for longer so that he gets the good milk :( feel really bad that hes not doing as well as expected, as im solely feeding him, feels like its my fault :(

Sorry you didnt sleep well either wendz, its so hard isnt it, trying to survive on miniscule sleep, OH is coming in at 4.30 so that i can go for a much needed nap. For all those other new mums out there, how do you find the time to do anything? Sometimes i barely get chance to brush my teeth!!Have done nothing again today, apart from make lunch, bath baby and wash up, really dont want to go out when im this tired and its so cold, OH has just lit me a fire too so am toasty. After my sleep i do intend to make dinner (risotto), put baby's washing away and do yet more washing!

Poppy has always been a snacker with her feeding.I started feeding her on one side over 3 hours so i knew she was getting more of the fatty stuff and then swapping for the next few hours. You are doing your best so try not to feel guilty.

Oh and I don't think i got anything done at the begining.I spent a lot of time glued to the sofa feeding. Get a bit more done now but find we are quite busy a lot of the time so probably don't do as much cleaning as i should. Spending time with your baby is the mostimportant thing, everything else can wait. I know how frustrating it can be though and how guilty you feel.

You poor thing. I know how hard it is, I really wondered what I had let myself in for in the first few weeksbut it does get easier. Just put your feet up and cuddle baby , everything else can wait.

I have the same thing, sometimes he gets up in the morning and says oh she didn't wake up much last night...no you just didn't wake up! So frustrating. That is definately one of the hardest things about bfing that you can't share the night feeds.

Oh, girls, that must be tough. I can't imagine not having a good night sleep just yet but I know what you mean about OH's, mine can sleep through a bomb attack, he wouldn't wake.

Put your feet up Missy, watch some trashy television while feeding Roo and try to have a nap when he has one! How long is your OH staying this time? When does he need to go back to work?
