    lol.

Have been thinking about my budget again, and I have worked my wages out a little bit wrong, in my favour fortunately, I forgot about the tax change in april, which means I get paid a little bit more each month. So in true MSE fashion I am seeing if I can pay my debts off (i hate that word, debts not off!!) earlier, maybe even in August!! Just getting my huuuuuuge calculator out to do some number crunching. AM really enjoying the calculator bit, feel like an accountant :)

hmmm thinking ahead to christmas too. I have budgeted £600, Now I wonder how much I could reduce that by making christmas presents.... I know, I know it is only July (just!) But, for the girls in my family, I could make an apron, as I have the material, and slippers, which I have found a, I was going to say recipe, but what I mean is pattern. Oooh and a hot water cover I could knit.... I have maternity leave until the bubs is born in November afterall.... that would cover 4 people. Hmmmm will have lots more thinks, not sure about hte men though, they are always notoriously hard to buy for, don't think I could make anything that they would actually appreciate. Any thoughts?

is it sad that i am quite happy staying in on a friday night, trawling through my wage slips and working out money etc?!Have actually just been looking into doing my teacher training and how much it will cost which isnt for a few years, but hugely costly.

**waves a very sleepy hello** morning, really didn't sleep too well again, I think the birds woke me up they were so loud!! Stupid things! I am eating my cereal and drinking my tea with the radio on waking up. Well I am going out with my mum today, but we have decided to have lunch before we go so I am taking some of my spicey parsnip soup over, which should be nice :) and very MSE, but before that I've got to drive over and pick up OH's latest ebay bargain (wheres the roll your eyes smiley!) I shouldnt moan, we managed to get absolutely loads of baby nursery stuff for under £100, the only thing is it not where they said it was, its about half an hour in a different direction!! Very frustrating, so I will go and pick it up on the way over to my mums. Not doing my petrol budget any good I have to say! Not sure if I am going to have to get the little ferry across either which is going to eat into my money too :( But I am going to draw my £10 today and see how i do.

The £50 spends thing is interesting. In theory it is very do-able but I'm rubbish at things like that plus I'm already spending more than that per month on gym and hairdresser. :wall: I find it difficult to separate food budget from eating out budget because often I'll have a coffee shop lunch but then I'll be buying less in the supermarket.

    hi ya,

well im back from my expedition, and have spent a total of £2 of my £10 budget, but have come back with bits and pieces, got OH some toothpaste from the 99p shop, so put that on the house acct, along with 3 sleepsuits and some chocolate fingers from tesco, again on the house account. Mum bought me a little baby suit and a coke whilst we were out. Got £100 out of the joint account, which £92 needs to be paid in to cover the ebay stuff I paid for last night, but I saw bio oil half price which was £10, so spent the extra £8 left over from the £100 on that, along with £2 from my £10 set budget this week, which if I do say so myself is not bad at all.

My mum annoyed me a little bit, telling me my bum was going to get bigger and asking me why I was buying second hand baby stuff from ebay as she thought I would want all new stuff!!! Grrrrrr!
