hey just back from work, what a pointless boring day!!

am only back for an hour then popping to my friends for tea, which should be nice but I'm knackered, want to be home by 9 at the latest as want to watch one born every minute USA.

Thanks for the advice you'reallhelpingme, I don't get any say in the rental properties, they are OH's baby that he has had since he was 25 so I don't really get a say in how they are managed. :o

And you're right I do get free prescriptions, but trying to get an appt with the doctor is horrendous!

Hey Kavics hun, you're right I really do need to ebay and amazon everything in site, have so much to sell too. Lots of really good ideas there, will have a think about them.

I cant change the gas electric etc as OH sorts all of that out and pays for it and the same with insurance, my phone is on the cheapest tariff, £15 for everything including internet, but I always budget £20 in case it goes over.

How have you managed on £50 each month for a year, have you missed anything?

I managed, Missy, it was hard but had to be done. Clothes: I only bought minimal and only allowed myself to buy anything if I sold something on ebay. Make up-I have had tons and I still do, haven't bought anything for ages. Toiletries-they go on the food shop but always buy the same product (nivea)from everything and always buy it when on sale. Outings-went to cinema when I exchanged tesco clubcard vouchers, had lots of picnics with home-made food. No pubs, no clubs. Shoes-I actually own a lot of pair of shoes which i hardly worn so decided to make use of them. So the £50 went for red bull, Mcdonalds Coffee, and bus fares if needed. It last you if you make it last. And think: do you really need it? Before you want to buy something...

well atleast the flowers wont need watering.

Here's a question for all you lovely people, when you find you have money left over (I'm being very optimistic here!) What do you do with it, spend it? Carry it over til next month? Change it to a bills account? Put it in a piggy bank?

Right really need to get ready to go out.... it is still pouring!!

I tend to put it towards loan-overpaying it even by a £1 reduces the interest:)
  • I'm self employed so I can't say from one month to the next what is "left over" but whenever we get a £2 coin it goes in a pot and once it gets to a nice amount we have a treat - might be a trip or a meal or clothes. We all get excited when we get a £2 coin in the change :o

    morning,

what a beautiful fresh day it is, have already been out in the garden checking on all the plants as it has been raining so hard, but most things look lovely, even my peas have sprouted :)

Have a busy but interesting day at school today so that shouldn't be too bad.

Still not got any plans for tonight, so will try and tidy things and if I feel like it I might start sorting through my clothes for ebay.

What are you all up to this weekend? x

well im home, and im happy to report on an almost nsd, did buy a euromillions, but i didnt buy any lunch today, eventhough I was so very tempted, the chips smelt lovely! And I have driven very carefully, which I really think is helping my fuel consumption. I'm so tired, today was manic, think Im going to have a little snooze before tea.
