Avoid like you would the Black Death!!!

Ordered a Sony Xperia Ultra. Website stated it had 13 in stock at the time. That was the 6th Jan. since then I have had delay after delay and one excuse after another bar "the dog ate it"

After a multitude of status changes I got this email on the 27th

"After some investigation, I understand the delay was caused due to backlog on our logistics end initially. Your order had been scheduled for dispatch earlier however during a routine quality check it was found that the xxx might be damaged. The decision was therefore made to halt delivery and return the entire shipment back to our suppliers for new replacements. I see that one of our customer service staff was suppose to contact you today regarding this. "

Notice the "XXX" obviously a standard email they send to everyone. And wait for it here is another one

"Rather than commit to a date and fall through, we ask for your extended patience during this time as we seek to fulfill your order through alternative suppliers in the coming days ahead."

The only reason they can get away with what in my opinion amounts to blatant deception is that Trading Standards are impotent. I have contacted my card issuer and am currently going through the "Charge Back " route. If you are with Natwest then simply call 08453660391; they will email you the forms

Trading Standards will not be able to help you - SE do not have an office in the UK - Your only hope is charge back or contact kwikchex (as per my post on 02-07-2013 !!

I ordered an iPhone 4 from simplyelectronics.net yesterday (16/05) and now I'm in a bit of a panic as I've just read some ghastly reviews of this company. I could kick myself for not checking them out before I ordered, but their website seems so legit etc.

If you've ordered with them before, could you tell me your experiences? I'm petrified I've just been dwindled out of £470!!

    Hi,
I am doing update on my order from them.
It s by day 9th DPD told me I will be delivered today.
I paid them through PayPal so any mislead will open a claim to get my money back.
Delivery will be long as what they is to get the item ship from china to them warehouse them they send it to you by DPD I believe.
Hope all goes well for you.

You have actually placed an order with this company - are you insane ?
You will receive nothing - except for grief - Despite receiving a delivery date - this will keep on moving sideways and eventually you will receive a notification from SE that they have no stock left - then absolutely nothing..
They will totally ignore your emails and you WILL have to claim back on your credit/debit card - why did you not read the user reports on many sites ?
This company has been trading on people like you - and because they are based in China - our credit / debit cards companies take the hit !!
