Hello,
I've just been reading your diary and have subscribed to it now.
I know what you mean about eBay, I have some great stuff on there at very reasonable prices but it's the half used bottle of nail varnish that sells....
Looking forward to reading more of your posts

Hi Jules - thanks for stopping by! I never really got the idea of selling used make up etc, I thought it was a waste of time, but since I started it last year I am gobsmacked! I have a whole load more to get on when I get round to it - heaps and heaps of soap and glory that I bought when it was on offer but I'm not mad keen on it really, so if it goes! the weirdest one for me was when I bought a few underwear sets in the sales a few years ago, but they were not comfortable so they sat in my wardrobe for months. I put them on ebay, and one bidder bought the lot. Fair enough, they were brand new with tags etc, but then they emailed me asking if i had any more - and they didnt have to be brand new. Apparently she had struggled to get pretty sets in our size (huge boobs, little bottoms) at affordable prices! I found it odd that someone was asking to buy my used underwear... but hey! Incidentally, I didnt feel comfortable with that so I declined... :-)
Well I've picked up a bit this afternoon so I did go for a sandwich lunch. How the little things count now - twas a time I would have nipped downstairs to the champagne bar and before you know it you've spent £15/20 on nothing! Today though I deliberated, I considered my options, I salivated whilst deliberating some more and ended up with the "all american". This little beauty is is turkey, melted cheese, cranberry sauce, buttermilk ranch dressing and salad on a toasted artisan roll. Boy oh boy! I enjoyed every scrummy mouthful and dont regret a morsel of it!!!

My half used nail varnishes consistently sell for around £7. I used to wear it a lot, now less so, so I cleared out a drawer full of them and sell them quite regularly.
I have also had great success with selling partially used bottles of perfume, I just make sure the picture shows clearly how much is left. For price on them, it depends on the make of perfume.
But I have never tried selling underwear before, something to think about0 -
I can't believe people buy that stuff, its so weird?

hi all - quick one again today.
My ebay stuff not going too well this time - only got three items selling at the tmoment - but cant maon as that's £20 and still 2 days to go.
Had a result on quidco though - six of us have a big day out planned next weekend - I had some vouchers bou8ght for me for christmas so Its effectively free for me, buyt the girls asked me to book the show etc, so I quidco'd it and brought in about £12! cool. Also, the meal we've booked through toptable now brings my points up to enough for my next freebei (free food taste so much better than regular paid for stuff).
Been decorating BF's house too, so as BF doesnt have nectar card that's gone to me as well - woohoo!
Not in office for next few weeks as I'll be in court out of london, so that's good and bad. Good as no commute to office means I'll be able to prepare proper home cooked meals every evening; bad because I cant get to where I'm going by train so my train ticket is useless so I'll have to drive.. I do get a petrol and parking allowance though, and lunches etc will be provided by the court. So perhaps better overall than not!LBM Oct 2010 - £44,665.08:eek: (exc overdrafts)

Hi RTBR,
I think I remember you too, used to read your diary I'm sure but for the life of me, can't remember you're Username now, *subscribes*0 -
Hi Reborn,
Like others I am gobsmacked that people buy used make-up. Having said that how irritating is it when you find a beauty product that actually works and is suddenly no longer available, or worse still they supposedly improve the formula. I used to by ABC bodywash which was great for my sensitive skin, then the bottle design changed which meant they had changed the formula and it actually brought out my ezcema what the hell?! I guess if you scoured e-bay and found a product you loved you would be tempted. However, I keep hearing the stats on how long women keep their make-up for and all the bacteria that's on it...that puts me off, but one man's meat (or woman's beauty product) as the saying goes.
I can't wait for the Apprentice tonight. I watch and record it so I can watch it the following day. I also follow the original with Donald Trump. I'm not sure why the BBC relagate it to such a late night slot, when it's not broadcast at the same time as the UK version.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -
Hi swinstie - nice to see you found me :-). Sorry for my mysterious change if name - I had my reasons, trust me!!! :-)
I'm had the most mindnumbing boring week last week but an ace ace ace weekend. It was a combined birthday treat for me and two close girlfriends, so 7 of us went into London for decadent day if champagne at burlesque show, followed by cocktails in the savoy and then dinner in covent garden. Not the most MSeEday ever, to be honest, but I booked everything through quidco and toptable so at least there is some cashback coming my way! Also treated myself to a new dress which was v v naughty. Justified it by taking back two birthday tops I'd had in my wardrobe for about two months - v surprised they were happy to exchange without receipt.
No more pricey weekends lined up for a while so hope to get back on track again now. Got some more payments to make against the cards so sight update due, will do it when next on laptop.
The eBay thing last week was great in the end - just under £50 so pleased with that - that's going straight off the egg card thing.
Off to pick up my free lunch now, who said there's no such thing!LBM Oct 2010 - £44,665.08:eek: (exc overdrafts)
