What do u mean !!!!!!?!!! Children are the most perfect things anyone will ever do and to talk about them like a blob of cells is ridiculous! having my son gave me a purpose in life, completed me and God forbid anythin wud happen to him or an unborn child of mine. some people struggle for years to conceive. i strongly urge OP to consider her decision very carefully and definately feel she shud inform her OH and kids
i think that although you're entitled to your opinion, it isn't going to help the OP to try to guilt trip them into a decision. there have already been plenty of posts giving links of places to talk through their decision and whatever you think, it's up to them. as a couple of people have already said, let's try to avoid this getting into the apparently almost inevitable slanging match between pro-life and pro-choice. it won't help the OP, which is, after all, the point.

I am shocked at the lack of care people are showing in discussing this matter. were not talking about throwing away an old handbag. its ridiculous. this is a childs life, everything happens for a reason and you fell pregnant on the pill for a reason. luckily i live in northern ireland were abortion is illegal and hope this will remain. have u ever stopped to think how ur husband and kids would feel about u aborting their child/sibling/. as for the money thing... i havent a pot to !!!! in most weeks but my son is well looked after, fed, clean and clothed and above all he is loved unconditionally and although i cant afford fancy things or nice holidays i know in the grand scheme of things they dont really matter.

    Go. Away.

I refuse to be nice to you just because you have your lovely newbie sticker. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Has no one noticed there is a higher rate of falling pregnant on the pill than there used to be 10/15 years ago?

Nothing to do with human error more to do with our body getting used to the pill and trying to over ride it via increased hormone production, the same with about 60% of other medication, after a while they become ineffective.

This is rare considering many GP's try and change patients brands every few years but coupled with the pills failure rate (which i believe to be higher than what they state) makes it really common and im sorry to say quite a normal event in today's world.

    This, entirely.

Though....in answer to another point, I would love a child but its not going to happen for me. This in no way would make me want someone carrying a child they couldn't care for/didn't want be pressured out of a decision they felt right for them/family. I would hope that if the family of someone in this position ''found out'' what they would feel would be compassion for their mother.

    Good luck OP.

leos-mummy - your point has been made, very clearly in fact - be an adult and step away. this thread isn't about you, it's about the OP. please respect that and back off.

    Oh please????

Surely you can accept that it is much better for one to choose to have an abortion with the knowledge that it is the right decision. The OP has already mentioned that it would be a financial strain which will in turn affect the whole family.

There is no way on this earth would I discuss a subject like this with my children, what planet do you live on??
