Help needed - Debenhams store card
Comments
-
The person who won against Debenhams has had her card since 1997 and her reasons for complaint were more or less the same as mine!!
As someone else said this is evidence of inconsistencies with the decisions being made and the other person is writing to the FOS to inform them. Think I will do the same now before I complain to the insurance co. and see what they say.
Just a thought but would it be worth e-mailing the CEO and ask him to look into these decisions before we refer to FOS, due to the inconsistencies!! Maybe suggest there might be a training need !!
Wonder if any of us had decisions made by the same person.
What does everyone think? It's all getting very confusing (that may just be me:rotfl:)0 -

Hiya
Yes it may be a good idea to email the CEO first, make them aware as well that you want to hear from them soon or you will be taking it further with the information you have, give them so long to get back to you and if you hear nothing then move on to the FOS.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I did email the CEO and he did send a response very quickly but basically it was to tell me I had no claim! When I look through old statements some months I was payin £22! I'm fairly sure I paid at least 1k on the damned insurance!0

I have just e-mailed the CEO and asked them to review their decision as there appears to be inconsistencies with the decisions and it maybe that the decision makers are not interpreting their guidance in the same way which is obviously unfair. Don't expect to get anywhere but thought I would give it a go!!0 -
Hiya
My situation is identical to all of you, Evans storecard, received a big fat NO from Satander. Spoke to FOS today who will send my details to the underwriters but it looks to me like it may be a dead loss. I've actually paid off my Evans Goldcard but I'm angry that a good chunk of that debt was PPI.
As soon as any of us hears anything lets post an update, agreed?
Thanks Guys!:j:j:j MY PPI JOURNEY :j:j:j

Agreed!!
Interesting that you have paid off your card as I have also but the OP who got a refund has a 'live' account! Wonder if that has anything to do with our chances of getting a refund or not?!!0 -

I have an account with Debenhams since 2001 Santander reject my claim, and included a copy of my agreement where i have signed and not dated. I have been in touch with the FLA and I was told that I need additional evidence that I have been mis-sold. Found this link on Martins website

The Financial Services Authority has today fined GE Capital Bank Ltd (GECB) £610,000 for failing to have adequate systems and controls for selling insurance which includes Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) and for failing to treat its customers fairly.
Is this additional evidence??0 -

Hi there
Have you any evidence to provide them, if so then do so with a copy, do not sent anything original.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
You can try, even though they are probably already aware of that, but maybe they need some further info on why you think it was mis sold perhaps. X;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
