Ah, I'm glad you're okay, and have obviously been doing a lot of re-evaluating. There's nothing at all wrong with having dreams and ambitions, as long as we have time to smell the roses and take time to enjoy the journey too, eh?
It's difficult to find the balance isn't it?, esp when you have young children- things have changed so much for me since having a baby.
Hope you continue to enjoy your simpler life. I figure that I may as well enjoy my baby and any other littlies that come our way while she enjoys our company- once she hits her teens no doubt she won't be seen dead with us so I'll have plenty more time to work then lol.
Take care and best wishes, xYesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams 0 0

Very sensible. This is no time to be worrying about pennies, your children come first and you are not on the breadline. Enjoy the fact that you are mortgage free and take a couple of years off.
But you are what you are and no doubt you will be working towards your next home as soon as you feel ready, and what you have learned along the way here will stand you in good stead. I wish you all the best and I hope that you will pop in and see us from time to time!
 Love to you all,

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0

Glad to hear you're okay and that you've found some sort of peace. Garden sounds lovely.
Completely selfish of me but I will really miss you if you stop posting entirely. You feel like a friend to me even though we've only ever met online*

I second Courgette. I'm so pleased you've found your "happy place" (ha ha, that made you sound like a werido). I'll miss you too if you don't post at all.

Really pleased that you are taking time out to smell the flowers (or earth, whatever floats your boat ) and spend time with your growing family. You worked so hard to pay off the mortgage and inspired so many of us along the way. ) and spend time with your growing family. Hi EarthGirl, you were a big inspiration to me in starting a diary. You are in a great place with your family to enjoy those moments. It's always the little things which mean the most. I have cards which my children made with DH and they are glorious - cost very little except their time, creativity and love. Priceless to me and will be kept to show their little ones.
I am sure you have inspired many on this thread and thank you.

Glad you are doing better and the idea of a much simpler life with lots of happiness and time with little one sounds perfect!!
I think we can all get to a place of not seeing the wood for the trees sometimes on this journey and sometimes a step back from it all is just what we need to refocus on what is important- health , sanity and the ones we love being biggies!!
You have achieved great things and absolutely nothing wrong in taking a well earned break! 0 0

            Ah Earthy
So glad you are ok, but just wanted to drop in to say you will be missed! I look forward to reading your posts. Totally understandable though. You should be so proud of what you have acheived financially and otherwise in your life so far :T

Oh Earthie, I'm glad you're taking time out and life at a slower and more relaxed pace - having had both adults in this house work themselves into a frenzy (one a breakdown and the other severe clinical depression with suicide attempts) we both now appreciate that life can be fun when simplified and slowed down.
