:rotfl: Lovely interior what a good price! We were going to go for something with a bit of a view though, or nice coutryside surroundings, could you manage that too?

With the equity in our house, we should have about £500,000 - £600,000 at the end of our mamouth savings journey, but to be honest, we will probably not save as much as anticipated as I plan to go part time.
I'll see what I can do, in the meantime how about this lovely 4 bedroom detached villa with swimming pool off the M62 motorway, yours for only £350k. Spanish weather in an English town. Buy it quick before rightmove realise the mistake!

    Hi All,

Everything not going so well here. I have been really feeling sick, and being sick, for a while, and I am so tired - all early pregnancy stuff I know, but I am starting to feel really down as well. I hope its just a phase and that all will improve in time, but I have never felt like this - like everything is wrong, but not really able to put my finger on exactly what!!

I have called the health visitor this morning, and a community nurse is going to come and visit us next week. I have not made any headway with getting earthlet in a bedtime routine, and now he is starting to be fussy with his sleeping at nursery, and he is being a bit naughty there too.

Hopefully we will decide on a plan, and make some improvements, for all our sakes.

I am so unmotivated to be at work!

  • Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. I had a couple of weeks of feeling absolutely dreadful but it seems to have passed now and I hardly feel sick and am much happier. I hope the health visitor and nurse make you feel better.

Sorry you're feeling a bit down Earthy, I have a bigger age gap between my 2 but until I was 4 months pregnant (dd aged 2.5ish) was still coming in our bed at night. Once I got into the good bit of pregnancy I tackled it then and now she is fab. It will get easier and being pregnant with another toddler around is sooo different to the first time.

Take a few moments to look back at everything you have achieved so far and put your feet up.

How did you tackle it Cath?? I am determined that he is not allowed to come into our bed, but it means I have trouble getting him off to sleep, and in the end I cuddle him till he is exhausted and will go down in his cot. I got about 4 hours sleep last night!!

Thanks for the well wishes. I feel like I have had some sort of mini depression or something, that I felt like I was always thinking I can't do it (whatever it is!) instead of attacking things with my usual positivity and energy (well most of the time!!)

Right, positivity and energy are back!! And even if I feel a bit down, I am going to try and let it bounce off me and try to turn things around. It does help that the sickness has seemed to subside in the last few days.

Things that are annoying me - I made a wine order and missed a code for £10 off and missed getting cash back as well doh! I got a library fine of £2 and an overdraft fine of £2 - just for being disorganised. I am still on the rampage about trying to get earthlet to go to bed early, and I am also disorganised at home and work. I have also been refused the chance to go on a course at work, as I am not allowed to be out the the classroom - I am never out of the classroom! I am going to keep an eye on this and check that someone doesn't go in my place - just because I am pregnant. But I have decided at work that I will just keep a log of everything and choose my battles. At the moment I am campaigning to try to get more exercise books - some kids have finished their books and we have no replacements.

So the good things - OH has agreed to go away for a budget night away which I can plan in March. I have the nurse coming to advise me on Monday with earthlet. I have bought more wine and used the code :) this should last us for ages, especially as I am not drinking.

I have the weekend to get organised financially and in the house, and I can spend more time with earthlet.

Finally, I have my health back, I have a lovely family, and only four and a half months left at work really before mat leave!!

  • That's right, focus on the positives! Have a great family weekend.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Well, she used to last in her own bed until 1am ish and one night lasted till 4am so I seized the opportunity! I reminded her it was bedtime, still dark etc and left her. She shouted us on and off for an hour (she wasn't crying, I don't do CC) but I knew she was safe so ignored her! Next night she shouted for about 20 mins off and on and the 3rd night 10 mins and then she was sleeping through. Unfortunately, we've had a setback with her sleeping when baby arrived but she is back on track now. :)
