That is an incredible amount to save, we don't even earn that much! You work so hard for it though and you are now a step close to your 'mansion'. Your day sounds lovely, you just can't beat family time.

  • :T well done on savings, it really is an incredible sum. Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday too, hope you have another today.

Twinklie - if I sat too long I was unable to stay awake for several weeks, even tried biting my hand and pinching myself but it didn't work :rotfl:! That will pass as Courgette said (although I am still feeling exhausted, just not in the same way).

  • I agree with everyone, that is an amazing amount saved.

Also feeling the tiredness - I fell asleep at about 9 last night but then kept waking up all night :( You teachers are amazing with everything you fit in. I'm doing an OU course at the minute which I'm now worried I'll never be awake enough to finish!

Thanks ladies. I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to stay awake these days! :D

Sorry to hear that you had to stop the marking but I completely agree its HORRIBLE trying to keep yourself awake. It will pass though twiklie!

I have already had my nap today!

I have cleaned most of the house, and got some things sorted to take to mil who is a whizz with a sewing machine. Someone has given me a pair on mickey curtains which I want her to line and extend a bit! With the cot I got off freecycle a few years ago, I should have everything I need for the new baby. It feels a bit wierd to not need to buy anything!

I must own up to buying some knee high boots for next winter, for £9.99 delivered from shoedazzle. I really hope they arrive!!

This afternoon I plan to do some crafting with ds - decorating a photoframe to give to FIL for his birthday, and then a Sunday roast, yummy.

I have zero for baby or my growing body...I am also relatively clueless about what I actually need - so a little jealous on that score. That said, I'm not looking into it yet either. Don't really see the point. That's my plan for easter though...look and research and create a list.

I've pretty much done nothing today - cleaning...whats that? I have however, bought my AA cover and a battery jumpstarter because my car battery is dead again! ARGH!!!

Sorry to hear of your car trouble!!

I am jealous of you I really enjoyed getting everything for ds. Freecycle wasn't that popular then so I got loads of stuff of there, now its really hard to get anything.

You will really enjoy sorting it all out, its really good fun!

I have a spreadsheet of the absolute basics, and options to make you own things. You will want to get more than this I know, but I can send you the spreadsheet later on in the year if you like??

Definately, I'm relying on you and the other ladies to get me through this. I don't have anyone nearby in real life to help - not that I'd trust anyway. I do have my bessie but she's a busy bee these days and I don't see her nearly enough.

Aw I loved the preperation, i'm a bit of a control freak anyway so had to research everything to the last detail. Loved looking at prams etc online and ended up buying everything second hand for a fraction of the price!
