Goodness, I'm intrigued... I'm also currently wearing kneelength boots and a skirt; my standard working wardrobe

I'm reading (amongst other things) 'Screw it, let's do it'. Terribly written but actually quite inspiring.
Earthy, I hate to say this but you know MrS do 100 disposable nappy bags for 9p, 5p when they've got their event on? By all means cut up shower curtains, I'm just saying

I could see her point, as it winds me up to high heaven picking it all up and mending broken models, but sometimes that is what parenting is about - giving them toys that stretch them.
She did have good ideas though about being organised. I prefer flylady though myself.
(Spoken from another person who likes wearing trackies these days, though mainly as my jeans all wore away and I haven't lost enough weight to fit in the ones my mum bought me yet.

Yes I get so annoyed ripping up the little ones (that I have to supply
) every night, so I just want them in one bag bag that I can chuck them all in the bucket or the wash.
Really interesting that we all have different opinions on being a busy mum! I will see how long my current enthusiasm for being tidy and organise lasts. NB I always wear jeans at the weekend, I have the opposite problem and tracksuit bottoms no longer fit!!
I have booked my driver awareness course in the ajoining county, as it is actually closer and cheaper, and I need to go at a weekend. It is only £75 (ouch)
I have done all my little tasks today, I am now in directed time (messing about on rightmove!) until 4.30 then off to two tutoring clients.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Yes we do I don't really know why!
I went home and felt really lazy having some lazy days at work, so I have been in overdrive the last few days. I have earnt £110 from tutoring so far this week, with another £55 expected this week.
I also want to do something nice with oh and ds this weekend. I will put my thinking cap on!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thanks, sometimes I am a bit hard on myself as I feel like I am tugged in all different directions - hence the time management books!
Have had a tough few days at work with things just not going my way. I really need to get more on track at work - my enthusiasm was flagging a bit!
I have had a lovely day today though - loads of time with little one - we went for a walk today and for the first time he just walked where he wanted instead of holding my hand - he is getting quite independent now! I have also deep cleaned the bathroom and made my large washable bags to make nappy management easier!
The house still needs more cleaning and decluttering, but I feel quite good about things at home at the moment.
One of my friends at work has been having a really tough time and has split up from her oh, and he has been granted custody with her only having weekend access. It has been so tough for her, and I just feel so upset for her. It makes me feel so grateful for the family and the life that I have. With this in mind I have decided to do something 'family orientated' each weekend - this weekend oh has bought us a takeaway and we are going to watch the fireworks out of the window and just chill together.
I am very committed to saving up for our next house, but I don't want oh to look back on our spare time together and say that I never let him do anything cause of the cost - there has to be a happy medium (and he is paying!).
The beautiful house down the lane has dropped its price from 1.3 million to 1 million, still can't afford it though!!!
I have made £60 net from ebay sales in the lat few weeks. I'd like to make another £15 in the next few weeks to cover my speed awareness course. I have a new tutoring client starting on Monday too - thats 9 per week at the moment - I have to do it whilst its popular as its seasonal.
Still to do this weekend:
- declutter and tidy attic and back bedroom
- work on ohs business
- ebay anything worthwhile
-finish cleaning
- wash car
I have completed my banking and savings now upto £25,269 since May2011. I can afford a £4,000 I think as I don't have much to pay out in November (Decembers Childcare will be tiny and mostly covered by vouchrers already in my account) and I have bought everything for Christmas.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Have you really saved all that in just 6 months??? That's incredible! Family time is so important, before I went on mat leave we only used to have 1 or 2 days a month together as a family, I hated it.

You're so right about the importance of making time for the family. When I first had ds2 I whispered in his ear that I would love and stay with his daddy forever and I absolutely mean it! However much he annoys me I know from personal experience that being a single parent is absolutely no fun whatsoever and I will do absolutely whatever I have to do to keep our marriage really strong and happy
Is your lad walking then? I so wish gherkin would crack on with it, I can't wait to take him for little walks. Ds1 was 18months though and ds2 is showing no interest yet so I clearly have very lazy children!Updating soon...0
