    Hi all,
I am hardly getting any time to post at the moment as I am trying to get organised. I just read michelles diary and she seems so sorted - I wish I felt like that at the end of the day!

Ah hon, I might sound sorted, but I don't always feel it. The house is hardly ever tidy, and I am spending way too long online to try and make peanuts to feed the chimps.

It's easy to see what you think is happening, but I am not as good in reality, and plenty of us are envious of you and your energy.

Yesterday must have been hard on you when Earthie is so small. I didn't like that sort of thing either. Extra cuddles for him today, and if you can get the weekend off altogether then all the better.

Thanks Michelle but I know you are only saying that to make me feel better - you are really superwoman :) !

This week has been manic. I have managed to keep my head above water, and feel ok.

At home, the house is not too bad, thanks to oh tidying up and helping witht the washing. Earthlet has a cold at the moment and is coughing a lot. He has kept us up a lot the past few nights. Oh has been quite stressed out with his business and things have not been going his way. We have been arguing and bickering - he tries to make me feel bad because I don't do enough around the house, and I feel that we are just takign things out on each other.

We have booked a night away in a hotel, this weekend, but I am starting to think that we might be better staying at home and getting things done - especially if work is worrying oh. We were going to use the national trust voucher to see a castle and gardens that look nice.

At work I am pretty much up to date, I have worked hard on time management this week down to the last minute! I have set easy work for my classes and managed to get a whole heap of marking done at school - so none to take home this weekend! Yipee!!

In terms of money I have made 2 x £5 charity donations, one to a little girl with 60% burns, and one to a hospice where an aquaintance sadly passed away last week. I feel funny about charity donations - like I should give more. This was what others gave.

I managed to bring the shopping in at £20 this week, but this was minus one meal that we will/would have at the weekend.

Looking forward to doing my accounts tomorrow and making another big payment into savings I hope.

    Hi Earthgirl,

Sorry to hear about you and your OH, it's usually the way that when we get stressed we take it out on our nearest and dearest isn't it? I'm sure you'll make the decision that's right for you re the night away in hotel.

Re the charity donations, every little helps, if the others also gave £5 each then all those £5's will soon mount up for the good causes... I only donate regulary to one charity, to a little boy I sponsor in Colombia and have done since he was a baby. It's only £15 a month but I tell myself the same as you, that it's better than not bothering at all.

Well done for getting your marking done, hope you manage to enjoy the weekend. x

    Thanks Summer day,

Well I didn't actually get my banking done, as we decided to go away and we had a lovely time! The hotel was ok, our meal was really good and we enjoyed a really good (£1.20) day out at a National trust property on Sunday. Total cost for the weekend was £120 which we put through ohs business as he did a bit of work there as well!

The most important part was that we got to spend time together, and we got on really well - we were both just really stressed out and tired.

I have decided to make more of an effort with health and exercise. I am going to use the extra 30 mins from getting up at 6.30 for cleaning and housework, which should free me up after tutoring for a little bit of exercise (walking, swimming, running) and I can take LO as well - he loves being outdoors.

This way, we all get more exercise, the house is tidier and oh and I won't fight as much.

Right must go - lunch time duty, and will post some totals later tonight.

Wow, such a long time since I posted, I have been so busy!

I have managed to do a reasonable amount of housework on a morning, so I don't have much to do at the weekend yey! I have no school work to do either, so I have a lovely weekend of relaxing planned.

I nearly gave up this week, I was so exhausted and had a couple of bad days at work, things - particular classes I suppose not going my way. I am sure that with a relaxing weekend and a bit more planning (I have had no free preparation time this week) I will get back on track.

I have spent £6 on nappies, wipes and paracetamol, so I am over my target by £6 this week, but that will last me a long time.

So this weekend I plan to:

    - do banking (I will do it)
    -cook from scratch
    - do some more foraging and chutney making
    - do some nice free things with earthlet (including another childrens party on Sunday)
    - ebay everything in the ebay pile

    I love weekends!

Just to enter in on the Mooncup thing. I've been using a moon cup since about 2009 I think. I will NEVER use anything else again. It's saved me a fortune, is easy to use and has like others suggested reduced the cramping I used to get. The first cycle I used it I hated it (thought I was never going to be able to get it back out - I pretty much cut the stem off completely because it was too uncomfortable with it on). But due to how much I paid for it, I thought I'd try it the next time too. I LOVE IT NOW.

Honestly, the thought of anything else turns my stomach. Probably too much info, but if you do have any questions just ask! :D

Thanks twinklie! Thats great to know. I have still not bought one, but I will at some point.

I have loved having the weekend truly off - and have been working on various sewing projects and am very pleased with my efforts.
Earthlet and I went to a party today. I was good but the place was so busy and very impersonal -we were on a party conveyer belt!

I have finally done my banking. I managed to save £3,000 last month no problem due to having no nursery bill (paid by childcare vouchers). I have put £1,876 in to savings for October, and I hope to save £2500 this month- I will have a bigger nursery bill and not so much income from tutoring as there is a weeks holiday. I am currently fitting in 7 hours of private tuition a week after the full time job, but I think something will have to give, I felt exhausted and quite down last week.

So £624 to find by the end of the month to be on target, and then only £8,810 to find before May to hit my £30,000 target, hmmm courgette you were right I think my target may initial target may have been to low!

Right, off to list on ebay, cook tea and maybe a touch more sewing.

Glad you've had a good weekend Earthy, you deserve a rest! What are you sewing? Well done on the savings, make sure you look after yourself too though.

My best friend is having a long drawn out labour and it's sent me all emotional. Yesterday I sent you a lovely pm saying what an inspiration you were and lots of other gushing things. Trouble is, your inbox was full so you'll never receive it!

I had my first student tonight, never would have done that without you :T

Ohh, sorry deleted all my pms. You have really cheered me up though, thanks courgette!

Thanks Brodiebobs. My motivation to work is flagging somewhat after a difficult Monday morning. But who likes monday mornings anyway!

Had a big long chat with OH about how I hate work and hate being away from lo. We have agreed to maybe have another baby next year, get the full time maternity benefits, and then I will either go part time or retrain.

I feel really stressed and not effective at all at the moment, and to be honest all I want to do is be at home with lo!

Anyway, sewing - I made some little mini soft face cloths for lo, to save on baby wipe usage after meal times, and I also made myself some waterproof lined washable pads until I get a moon cup. The pads are actually really nice, with wings and interchangable liners for different times of day etc. Far too much information but I think I crossed that line a while ago!! I was going to buy a mooncup with my shop and scan vouchers via amazon, but I need the vouchers for Christmas presents for OH.

Right a little bit of inspiration from rightmove, and then on with Monday.
