I'm thinking about getting one too but not just for financial reasons and I wondered if it would be too much information to share on here lol. On another forum some ladies have said when they changed from panty liners the pain they experience lessened.

You sound a bit tired there hon.

You sound like you are coping well, but leave yourself a bit of wiggle room for illness or just plain shattered-ness.

You manage to do more than anyone i know, and no-one wants to see you fail or get ill from pushing too hard. Take care of yourself hon xxx

    Thanks Michelle and Cath T.

I do feel really shattered sometimes. I just think that I really want to have the money to make choices / not worry about being made redundant, and I kind of egg myself on, by saying that I won't get there by sitting around doing nothing. But actually sitting around doing nothing ( or playing with my family) is realy important.

Had a great weekend, went to the icecream place for a party, it was great and all free. Earthlet really enjoyed the party and he won the pass the parcel!! It was such good fun and he loved seeing all the farm animals.

After oh bought us a takeaway. He is being really sweet at the moment, and wrote me a little love letter this morning:D

I finished my hand made presents, and also gave some cookies to the childminder as it was her birthday - I have decided it is all in the wrapping!

I picked loads of fruit from the orchard at the end of the lane, and I need to drop them off some chutney and maybe some more cookies. Earthlet quite likes banging up the chocolate and stiring the bowl very messy:rotfl:

Well I have a few hours spare today at school after an event this morning, but I am so exhausted that I don't feel like doing anything work wise!

I have had a good catch up on some diaries, and am tempted by Michelles Xmas challenge, but there is no way I could commit!
BUT I want to do more money saving stuff, and I also want to be healthier and loose weight too.

I think I am going to start getting up 30 mins earlier and go for a jog or do a dvd or something every other morning, and the morning in between do housework - that way it won't all build up for the weekend!

Michelle thank for the tip re the cheap tesco wipes, I got the equivalent in Asda, and I think they are fine. I also got the starter pack again with the voucher when I was there, and it too £5 off at the till so I got 2 packs of nappies, the wipes out of the starter pack(will give the rest of the pack to a friend who is due in October) and another pack of wipes for £1.24 - bargain!

The childminders bill for October needed paying - and as I am term time only, its only £385 for the month, thats amazing in comparison to the £637 monthly charge at the last nursery! I had it already in childcare vouchers so I am able to meet my target of saving £3000 this month with some to spare.

My dad is coming on Sunday and is going to help me fix the shed roof, that will be good as I haven't seen him for ages.

I just read through your diary and wanted to say thanks for sharing. Yours is one of those I really enjoyed reading and when I saw the progress you made, and how your diary clearly helped you, I decided to start my own! Good luck on the mansion fund! :)

    Hi all,
I am hardly getting any time to post at the moment as I am trying to get organised. I just read michelles diary and she seems so sorted - I wish I felt like that at the end of the day!

I had a lovely weekend though. I went for a lovely bikeride to get some last minute shopping with earthlet, he loved it! I spend £3 so our shopping bill came to £27 last week - not too bad, and I stocked up on pasta.

My car service and mot bill was £235 which was a lot more than I was expecting :( they replaced quite a lot though, and hopefully it will keep going with no repairs (its 5 years old now.)

My dad came at the weekend and we redid the shed roof. I cooked and it was a really nice day. He and my mum are arguing about money through me though, despite being separated or divorced for 12 years!

So I have loads of ideas of thing I want to do and make to save money, but I just don't get the time. This week I plan to get loads of work completed so that I can have the weekend to myself.

Parents evening tonight though :( I probably won't see earthlet till tomorrow :(

  • Hello,

It will be hard to miss seeing your baby. Especially for a parents evening. I am not a fan of these. Parents come just because they feel they should and if they knew you were not going to see your baby all day they would happily not see you and just phone for a talk if they had concerns. I would much rather spend the time on the kids who really need it.

    Soon be the weekend again,

I agree with you about the parents evenings. For some kids you just have nothing to say, others I could be there for ages, particularly the "coasters".

I always found at parents' eve that the kids' parents that you really wanted to see never turned up and it was always the ones who were doing fine that you ended up talking to. My favourite was the one I did about 2 weeks after going back from mat leave, just ended up interpreting data

Hope it went okay Earthy x
