Olympic tickets

I applied for diving and didnt get them im gutted not sure there is any point re applying the whole system is a complete and utter joke , some have had thousands of tickets alllocated because they appllied for everything and others none ..

A friend of mine is a diving coach and every hour outside of work is devoted to unpaid support of the sport. She didn't get anything either. I think there is something very wrong when tickets don't go to the grass-roots organisations or to the major supporters clubs (such as the UK athletics supporters who follow the team all over the world).

Just what hubbie said. See you there! You also may get to see Jodie Williams run in the 4x100m which is why we choose this session as we have known her since she was a baby. You get to see lots of medals that night too and Triple Jump final so a great night:j

£6 delivery charge!!??

We applied for 3 events and only got 1 - the one we weren't really bothered about! I don't remember reading about the delivery charge. I wouldn't have minded so much if that was for the 10 tickets we applied for but to post us 2 tickets??!! How do they work that out?

The whole system has been rubbish! We didn't get any kids tickets they were what I really wanted.

2 tickets to evening athletics on 6th Aug here, very pleased to get some tickets to attend. Fantastic, very pleased. The events are on a Monday, so also the option to turn this into an extended weekend in London to make the most of it.

Expected an application to the diving finals would be a long shot. But we were very keen to attend Womens gymastics and applied for a low key qualifier at a higher price in the hope we could improve the lottery odds and attend at least something, but not a chance there. Gymnastics must have been very heavily oversubscribed in all event and price categories, was always a smaller capacity event anyway, and it is sold out unfortunately. But Nile (post #49) was very lucky to get the Women's artistic gymnastic all round finals on 2nd Aug. So Nile, if you are still reading this thread, congrats and hope you really enjoy the event!

Yes I am still reading the thread. I got the email to confirm my earlier post, so I'm very happy to get tickets. I'm disappointed to miss out on the other events I applied for but I realise that I'm very very lucky to get any tickets................and it's lovely to get them for the Artistic Gymnastics Women's Individual All Around Final.

I went to the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in October 2009. It was the same venue (O2 Arena) and I watched Beth Tweddle win gold on the floor.:A It was a fabulous performance.:j:j:j

The atmosphere was electric then and I'm sure it will be for the Olympic Games too.

I'm sorry that so many people haven't been lucky with tickets. Maybe they'll try again in the next round.

Received email confirmation. Got 2 tickets for the athletics, eve of 5th August, many big events including the biggest prize, the Mens 100m final to see Lightning Bolt. Incredible and unbelievable. No time to blink! Really will be a treasured and momentous sporting spectacle occassion.
