toochoosey, that is scary, but very good of them to let parents know about it, probably be a few more parents than normal meeting their children from school today.

Haven't gotten an awful lot done, managed to get an electric shock of a plug (no idea how, I only touched the wire - hairdryer, so well insulated - and a spark hit my leg from the plug), which blew all the fuses in the house so no electric till OH got back and could reach the fuse box for me. I could have gotten the neighbour to do it for me but feel bad asking for help, we were all okay anyway playing 'horses' on the floor *Shrugs* did highlight how badly it needs a vacuum though.

    [STRIKE]Do the dishes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean the sink[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean the sides + small appliances[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Bin any rubbish from the kitchen[/STRIKE]
Sort through the fridge and throw old food out
Give the inside of the fridge a wipe down
Clean the hob (oven is done after cooking each time otherwise it smokes the place out)
    Put clean clothes away
Do the laundry + dry it + put away again
Organise DS 'clothes box' in the front room as it's become a dumping ground for clothes (clean and dirty) , muslins and nappies
    Clean DD's table
[STRIKE]Sort toys out and put away as necessary[/STRIKE]
    Hoover Living room and kitchen
    Mop kitchen floor
    De-clutter coffee table
Sort out one of 'those' corners in the living room
If time, try and finish doing the desk of doom... it's not too bad anymore thanks to a quick 10min here and there

For later in the week or today if I have time

Clean the bath and sink in bathroom
    Clean the toilet
    Organise bathroom shelf
Throw out bath toys that have gone green on the inside and are past saving
Replace said bath toys before it's noticed they've been binned
    Mop bathroom floor
Change main bedroom bedsheets + wash

Aww, dont be too hard on Woody Dusty. He doesnt know any better. He just sees a tasty snack!

Not got much further with my list, although did clean the bath and shower while i was in it.
Hubby just took the rubbish from cupboard of doom ( 3 black bags!) to the bins.

ETA - just read your post toochoosey, scary indeed. I always pick DD up from school (she is 7) or she goes to the after school club and i pick her up from there. I do see loads of kids going to and from school on their own and quite often think some of them are far to young to be doing it on there own.

Argggh, just remembered I have to make some cakes for school sale tomorrow!

  • toochoosey - woah, that's scary but at least they are being vigilant in letting you know.

LittleMissMPB - hope you're ok. At least it's May and you weren't left in the dark. But you shouldn't feel bad for asking for help, imagine if your neighbour were in trouble or needed something - I'm sure you or your OH would like to think they'd ask you instead of feeling bad.

I finally got through my filing pile last night - it must have been accumulating for 18 months so feel better now it's gone. Got mildly annoyed with DH though as he sat on Playstation while I was going through it all - after I'd done the living room. He got the hint and offered to make tea tonight though so bonus!

Tonight, I plan to do the bathroom thoroughly and I want to sort out 2 kitchen cupboards. My baking cupboard desparately needs organising so may also make a cake to use up some ingredients.

Mumof2, I think if I speak to DD right now I might say something I regret, she wont be rushing this way anytime too soon, so I have time yet.
Tooch, I am pleased mine are long past that age, scary, it must be horrible for the poor child and family involved.

Flying progressing well, will have another attack at it tonight.

DH had left some tools on the stairs, I asked if they were going up or out :rotfl:I did them make 4 trips upstairs to get them cleared away, which must have made him feel bad cause the next lot he took up himself :j Plus he has spent some time clearing his office, he said it took him ages but I said it made quite a difference, so he felt good, plus I hope he keeps going and clears the lot :T we can't open one door into that room because of all the stuff in there.

Do I need to eat it :o
    Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T

Serena - don't worry they were mostly childrens books that the boys are too old for. I did find it stressful though!
Nicki - everything crossed for you
    SSL - huge hugs
Mozzy! - Good to see you posting, I was thinking about you the other day as you are on my 'buddy' list and saw you hadn't been on for a very long time.

AnW - I am tying to sort our main RoD which is the boys playroom. Got rid of lots of stuff and T has decided he is too old for Thomas so quite a bit of that can go as well. Got a big bar of chocolate on the way home to bribe them with so we can have a messy playroom and manic boys.

Just need to make myself start on it......

I've been a good Wolf, and worked my way through the list, with the exception of the mats, which are earmarked for the WM as soon as we've bathed tomorrow morning (they won't be dry in time if I do them now, and I don't want to TD them).:D

This is going to sound really stupid, but I can't make my mind up - I have some mushrooms earmarked for tonight's dins - shall I do stroganoff or risotto? I have the necessary ingredients for either, and I just can't decide! May end up tossing a coin.:rotfl:

Mumof2 Ah, fox poo; I remember the aroma well. One of Penny-Dog (RIP)'s friends used to lurve rolling in it. Or deer poo, for a change. Or if he could find a nice big squelchy cow pat....:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
