DD2 is supposed to be getting Tiddles from school and DS3 walked home without her and I don't know where she is so she is in for a tongue lashing when she eventually gets in.. little winnie!!!

It is scarey but luckily all the kids from our school are picked up by a parent (or a named person the teacher knows). Apparantly a similar car was seen with a vans number plates near another school in our village.....don't think DD will be going out to play for a while!!! Down the caravan on Fri....yey!!1
I have done a few bits in the living room and dining room and cleared loads of carp from the desk.
Supposed to be in school tomorrow but have loads of college work to do so going to go in early and see the teacher about staying at home to get on with it.
Sausages on for dinner, potatoes done....just need to heat the beans up and dinner is ready....xx0 -
Bit of a grim question here but it has to be asked so here goes .... my lovely little son S who is 4 is using the toilet reliably but his aim isn't 'all that' and sometimes he forgets to pull the flush. The downstairs toilet is under the stairs and is just a toilet under the stairs - DH plans to fit a shower etc under there and there is no wall or anything like that; it's literally just a toilet under the stairs.
Now my problem is no matter how hard I clean, I can still smell wee .... sorry to be gross but it's true. I bleached the toilet yesterday and gave it a good scrub after a few hours and I've popped in one of those lemon thingies that goes in the actual cistern in the hope it will freshen it up but doesn't seem to be working. I'm not keen on air fresheners that stink the house out (neither is DH) but I'm not sure what to do to get rid of the niff that I can detect. I have a very good sense of smell, perhaps a bit over sensitive, but I know it's there.
Any ideas please?
very likely the floor - as pp have said you might need to lift the lino as the wee can run down the outside of the toilet bowl and run underneath. All a little bit grim. I use a mat around the loo in the bathroom and the state of that after a week or so is not pleasant. Men eh - why do we even let them in the house? surely a kennel outside would be more appropriate??
All I've done this afternoon is cook - I thought I had cancelled my veg box but it turned up on tuesday and we are away to ireland this weekend so I've made batches of tomato sauce, veg soup and mushroom pate. Kids were suitably ungrateful for my delicious pasta a tomato sauce tea.
I've also made 2 banana cakes - I bought a bowl of bananas for £1 to get get change for the bus when I was up at the childrens centre and they are all very very ripe so cake it was as the kids (and I!) won't eat them like that. Yummy:D I'm going to take a cake and some of the sauce round to a friends house tonight - she's got a 2 week old baby and an OH who is back at work cheffing so I thought I would try to make sure she got a meal.
On a long day tomorrow so zero flying will be achieved tomorrow - going to have a quick squizz round the bathroom while the kids are in the bath now, do the downstairs loo once DH gets home and finish sorting my paperwork pile later on. I've got some bits to do for work tomorrow so I won't be out late - also need to iron uniform etc aaaaaaargh not enough time to do everything!0 -
Went to finish cleaning the bathroom, started cleaning the sink and noticed a substantial leak from the plug so will not be doing any more cleaning in there til its fixed. Only the toilet and the floor to do so not too bad. Hubby will need to resilicone the plughole, sure i found some silicone in my clearing of CoD.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Dustykitten - our blue tits flew today too, must be the time for it. At one point 6 fluffy little ones were sitting on the bird-feeding station while the parent ate, then passed the food on to them. By this afternoon one baby had managed to work out how to get to the fat balls for himself.
Hope all the rest of yours survive & thrive.0 -

Hello.............................I have been poorly. I seem to have caught a tummy bug, was ill Monday night, zonked out pretty much all day yesterday, slept til 11am today and now feel faintly human. and also very sorry for myself and itching to clean - which as OH says "hmm you're feeling better" after I nag him to move his cup downstairs! :rotfl:
So my flying has been fluttering..........normal service will resume tomorrow.
Will do dishes, do some washing sweep through (dog fur driving me nuts) and then flop on settee.
See you all tomorrow
1 step closer
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
