Hiya
I'm pretty sure that all three are covered here...

Everything from the bath, through clothes, to worktops. The list is organised alphabetically by what item you want to clean, and then various er, substances, that you'd like to remove are listed by thread title.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. OH's pink jacket had a spot of red wine spilt on it last Sunday. Any tips how to get rid of stain please? I am told it can be a B to remove!0

Well, you are supposed to either dilute it with soda, white wine (?) or pour salt over it...but this is for the stain as soon as it happens and is still wet. I doubt any of these would work with a dry stain.
This sounds daft...but I have found Asda make up wipes - the smart price ones - work really well to get rid of stains of any kind, even on the carpet. God knows what it does to the skin on your facebut it seems to remove a lot of stubborn stains. It certainly wouldn't harm the fabric of the jacket, but it might rub it in and make the stain worse.
Try getting one of those Stain Devil spot removers, they do one for red wine, and work it into the fabric, trying to stay only on the actual stain spot - use a cotton bud or the tip of a small toothbrush.
Just edited this to add...in my experience, there is always a little bit of 'bleeding' into the surrounding fabric, it might spread out a little and look like a pink watermark. Be really careful, or take it to a dry cleaner if you don't want to chance it!0 -

If you want to avoid a stain spreading out, dampen the cloth in a circle all the way round the stain with whatever you're using to clean it, and then work inwards. (Sometimes though you have to face the fact that your options are: live with it; chuck it or make it worse!)0 -
Thanks all! Although it was over a week since the accident the stain did come out with the white wine method plus washing and drying in sunlight. Or should I say nearly came out? There is a residual mark, but one that a blind man would be pleased to see. It's so faint.0
