The second seller I ordered from cancelled my order as well BUT had the courtesy and professionalism enough to @ least E-MAIL me about it as follows ;
We check all orders before despatch.
Unfortunately another seller has changed this listing title from x 1 Bar to pack of 12, which is incorrect.
We will now cancel this, and your card has not been charged.
Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your custom.
Kind regards Harvey
Now I wasn't annoyed as this simple e-mail was a courteous explanation of the error and IF ONLY the original chemist seller was as courteous , professional and considerate of potential customers then their feedback would definitely not have been so outraged at all!
I have had very unpleasant , insulting , arsey customers on Ebay which I always respond with a POLITE and courteous e-mail in response
Its part of being a professional - A good skill when dealing with the public across the board0 -
Another good price on Amazon

So, if people respond to this and it isn’t honoured are they all to blame again for taking advantage of a price that could not possibly be right.
And any negative comments would be completely out of order?
Just asking, since some people seem to know when a bargain is genuine and when it isn’t.0 -
i received a phone call earlier today from a pleasant gentleman who explained about their pricing error. i, along with many other people, left negative feedback due to the way the situation was handled.
the gentleman was very apologetic; explained what had happened in detail.
as a form of compensation, they also offered a £3 refund on top of the full refund that i had already been given; this was based upon me removing my original feedback.
good customer service i believe following the phonecall, which is why i removed the feedback.
just a heads up for those who may get phone calls later....:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

BTW I'm sure its not my imagination but the majority of people who ordered the bars DID expect to receive them - That is why they kicked up a stink on the feedback section of the seller..
Now that must make us all THICK for thinking it was a genuine bargain ... Whereas you are the only clever one!lol

Did you actually take the £3 EXTRA refund off the person?:eek:0 -
I like this one"I was embarassed to receive a free condom with a tin of drinking chocolate. The tin was for my 92 year old father. I contacted the seller who said they were sorry that I was embarassed but that it was policy because they are a pharmacy"

it was a mobile number if that helps; ends 396.
The last call was from an 0845 number but don't know what number the previous call was from
That will teach me to get off my **** and actually answer the phone rather than presume they will leave a message on the answerphone which neither of the calls did! lol x0 -

The idea of someone paying for your silence does seem quite strange. Especially when they know they have a product you are interested in. x% off an order would be much more common.
Still goes to show that people recognise the power of bad feedback. Maybe their sales dropped noticeably since the incident?0
