Doesn't amazon charge us automatically and pay the seller when a customer shops on the site?
For instance, if buying a used book off someone, I as a customer pay for it through the usual amazon checkout, that money is then given to the seller, one time a seller no longer had the book and ticked the appropriate boxes so I got what I paid back. Maybe I am wrong, I don't know if the charging and then the funds being sent to where they need to be is done automatically through amazon until the seller initiates a refund?
If that is the case, then leaving this seller untold amounts of bad feedback due to what might of been an error out of their control is really pretty mean. Then again, I may have the whole process wrong..lol!0 -

i think what's annoying us is the way this has been handled.
preparing items for dispatch --> dispatched
refund after dispatch notification. ??????
no email to state what the problem was.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

Maybe the dispatch emails go out automatically to? I agree that its confusing and maybe not the best practice, but I am not sure if its all the sellers fault and now they are getting hammered?0

Feedback on the seller is building up.

Surprisingly, some people are leaving feedback against the bars- that were not even delivered
Feedback is used to let others know about any seller. It might be useful when weighing up two sellers to know that one withdraws offers to sell, and one does not.0 -
I only ordered one box, total price some £4 odd and cancelled !! Wasnt even that cheap !!!0

I ordered a box of these, i got the dispatch email on the 15th and the refund email on the 16th so im kinda hoping they were sent out on the 15th before they cancelled and refunded, if that happens then i get the bars AND a refund. Win win. I wont be holding my breath though0

Well, full refund recieved - shame about the bars though, I was looking forward to them in my packed lunches.0

Oh for god's sake. Some really spiteful people on this thread. There were a few warnings when it was first posted that it probably wouldn't pan out, you took a chance and hey ho, it never happened. Big deal. Think of all the glitches that have worked out in your favour and move on. Some people must have some very sad and empty lives that they are prepared to ruin an independent seller's rating on the internet over something that you have absolutely no proof wasn't a genuine mistake. Over a few bloody cereal bars?? Christ, I'd hate to see you people let down over something important...Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

I have to say at least this seems to be a glitch where NOBODY got the bars, unlike the £10/10% Superdrug debacle where Paypal orders were honoured but credit/debit cards weren't. I appreciate everyone is frustrated but it's maybe a little harsh to be flaming this person down just because you CAN leave feedback. We can't do this for big companies so maybe just have a grumble on here and leave it at that? It's only food....0
