Oh for god's sake. Some really spiteful people on this thread. There were a few warnings when it was first posted that it probably wouldn't pan out, you took a chance and hey ho, it never happened. Big deal. Think of all the glitches that have worked out in your favour and move on. Some people must have some very sad and empty lives that they are prepared to ruin an independent seller's rating on the internet over something that you have absolutely no proof wasn't a genuine mistake. Over a few bloody cereal bars?? Christ, I'd hate to see you people let down over something important...
I agree, the damage that a lot of that feedback may have done to that sellers feedback is scary to think about. Once everyone else has got over not munching on their cereal bars, this seller/company will still be trying to make a living! They have done nothing wrong, they obviously have an automated system that fires off emails once amazon have taken the money for them, they refunded people promptly and yet they are getting hammered for not smothering people in cereal bars. I have read aghast at some of the posts in this thread0 -
Its not about the cereal bars its about the principle and good business practice
I have cancelled a customers order on Ebay before and of course they left me negative feedback which I EXPECTED
This is a large company trading on Amazon who should know better / learn from their mistakes
Its not about the 'pricing error' but how they dealt with it afterwards - Not good CS and many 'unsatisfied' customers who were not impressed with the way they did things
All they have to do is continue to get POSITIVE feedback for a consistant period of time and their rating will go back up again - Same as Ebay!0 -
Yet I find myself wondering how many customers would have even bothered to leave positive feedback had they got their greedy paws on impossibly cheap cereal bars. Get over it and move on.Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

a simple covering email from the supplier would most likely placated most buyers
mistakes happen
however to simply send a refund with no explanation isnt customer service,is it?0 -
First time poster, but long time lurker.
I have had dealings with this supplier about a year ago. Again - wrong description/price - I was supposed to get a pack of 8 of a product and instead just got one item (and at the price they charged the one item was v expensive - for a pack of 8 OK, but for one - no way).
So when it arrived I immediately emailed them to let them know. The person I dealt with was rude and derogatory, implying I should have known I would not get a pack of 8, but would only get 1 item. Eventually it was agreed I could send it back for a refund but at no point did I get any apology. The fault was entirely theirs and not mine and their rudeness still rankles me now.
Perhaps I should have left feedback at the time, because it would seem that they do this a lot and maybe it would have helped others in the future.
Anyway looking forward to taking part in the MSE forums.0 -
I received confirmation email my item was despatched - then like everyone else I received a refund.
However, I can't work out why Amazon are still showing I have a dispatched and awaiting delivery at end of this week order on my home page. Seems rather odd - should it not be cancelled?Chum0 -

the seller most likely doesnt want to mass cancel the orders on their account0 -
Hi has anyone actually received their order of bars. I ordered 3 boxes but the order was cancelled due to a price error. I have not had a refund yet though0

How amazon works:
You place your order
Amazon takes payment
After thirty minutes amazon changes your order status to 'getting ready for dispatch'
Seller dispatches your item
Seller gets payment
Sellers are only allowed to not fulfil a certain amount of orders (I think it is%)
Leaving negative feedback could also ruin their business, please think it through before you leave negative feedback and understand how the system works.0
