Yes I'm quite serious. I had the same issue with Barclays when I made a large deposit into my current account. It was sorted within 2 working days.

are you saying that barclays emptied your entire account leaving you absolutely penniless?
    and you weren't atall concerned?

you must have a very equable disposition.

CLAPTON's question wasn't directed at you.

The money, according to the two CAG links above, will be returned in 4 days or so...just before your complaint's 5 day acknowledgement letter.

You should keep a record of any out of pocket expenses you incur due to this, and submit a claim for reimbursement once you've had the money returned.

Just out of interest, have there been any large credits made recently?...perhaps from overseas?

Is one of them a Barclaycard? And are you in arrears with it?

They did empty my account, yes. It was immediately after making a large deposit, and I believe it was due to the money laundering rules. I was more fortunate than OP as I had other money elsewhere, so I wasn't out of pocket. Yes I was concerned at the time, but as I say, it was credited back in a couple of days.
If you will the end, you must will the means.
  • I'm SO sorry to hear about this and just wish I could help more because this is awful. I hope it gets sorted out soon xxx

The have also stolen £193.66 as well as the £7,000 which is the very worst part.

I would keep ringing the phone bank service until at least your own original money is returned.
