Hopefully GS will get sorted at the same time as my new sig gets removed - if things are fair and balanced of course.

    New sig
It would be great to hear it from the Horse's mouth.
Jeffrey: Are/were you a/the moderator appointed by LLZ to moderate LLZ forums ?
A non-wriggly type answer like Yes/No will be much appreciated!

I too am heartened by Snorkerz' and Springfield's expressions of support. Along with those of all the others who've shown their solidarity, they more than make up for the mealy-mouthed, rasping, 'unrhythmical grumbling' of the few! (The ones agent46 would have called 'the bottom feeders'.. I agree, the forum lost a good member when he left).

    Thank you again, everyone. :)

Reading the questions about the identity of the mods and the fact that this Moderator2 was westminster, I find it very symptomatic of the mindest of LLZ's admins that they somehow think it is a good idea to hide the identity of the moderators.

:question:Explain your thinking to me again...not quite with you there jjl !

Then again I am feeling a bit dim after tiling all day. A big blob of adhesive went down my neck. It was horrible.

Well, why would you hide who's a moderator?

Imo, the more transparent the better.

Oh, I see. Yes, I agree, absolutely. There's a fundamental conflict of interest when members don't know whether the mods are regular posters, someone who moderates but never posts, King Kong, or what. On a linguistics forum I frequent, the mods are a bit prissy, but at least you know their usernames and you can see when they've deleted something and why. In my case it is usually because I am 'off-topic'. Off-topic, moi?! :D But they are equally prissy and censorious with everyone, not just me, so I don't mind too much.

The 'smoke and mirrors' school of moderation does LLZ no favours, does it?

Transparent having the property of transmitting rays of light through its substance so that bodies situated beyond or behind can be distinctly seen. ...

    Blindness
There are none so blind as those who will not see...looks pretty transparent to me !
There are 2 mods but 1 is not a mod so that means we have 1 mod - we all know who that is - what can't anyone see ?

  • Hi everyone and welcome to anyone who's new to MSE.

As this section of our forum is to ask and answer questions about House buying, selling and renting would you mind taking the conversation over to the MoneySavers Arms as someone's suggested?

    Thank you!

    Andrea :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

    Thanks, Andrea!

No problem. I agree that's probably the most appropriate place, but how do we move it?
