Ah ha, so this is where you lot are all hanging out, found you all at last! :j
I don't know, I've managed to climb the walls of LLZ and escape from one motley crew, only to be entangled with another.

Great to have you back mtg, now get posting! :T

no we never had a copy of the inventory. Theres was only one copy and the letting agent had that. We just checked it and signed it at check in and check out.

I find that a bit worrying, you should have had at least a copy, even if only to identify the things you could have done to lessen the final bill. Who actually did the inventory? Would it have been the Estate agent by any chance?

Thats eactly what annoyed me when we left! in the end we just cleaned and painted everything. The guy who did the checkout even commented that we had left it in better cleanliness than when he did the checkin!!

Apparently the LL will charge us for a garden pot that broke in the winter....can she do that?? The inventory said 8 plant pots but there were only 7 (something i could have checked and sorted if we had a copy of the inventory.)

Good idea, otherwise this thread is going to get really tangled up.

Is there a Mod that could convert Pizzle84's question and answers into a thread of it's own please.

Interesting Q on llz, 2 people own a house and have a room each with 2 rooms tented to lodgers. 1 person wants to leave and rent out thoer room to a new lodger, but keep the rent. I think that makes the person 1 an absent LL and the new occupant of that room a tenant?

    Does this sound right?

Could that be the same one as this thread here?: "Shared house ownership, room rent dispute – What’s the logical solution?"
(Sorry, too noob here to post links...)
